Philadelphia. Since many of the city’s nonprofit organizations engaged in public art are supported through the Cultural Fund, the field would benefit if strategies can be developed to increase the funding distributed through the Fund, without competing with the private organizations’ fundraising efforts. The OACCE should hold conferences directed toward prominent Philadelphia foundations and benefactors to foster new stewards for public art. • Establish a Public Art Conservancy through public-private partnership for ongoing maintenance and conservation efforts in consultation with the Fairmount Park Art Association. The Conservancy funds would be applied to public art citywide instead of being restricted to specific sites.
