Golkin Hall

edicated in 2012, Golkin Hall serves as Penn Law’s main entrance and completes its vision for the finest urban law school campus in America. It complements historic Silverman Hall on one side and the more modern Tanenbaum on the other. The building features roof-top gardens and green roofs, a state-of-the-art court room, and 350-seat auditorium, providing the Law School with another signature space that encourages easy interaction and collaboration among students, faculty, and staff. The building’s green design is LEED Certified, one of the first law schools so designated in the United States.
FIRST LEVEL GOLKIN Dean’s Suite
The Dean’s Suite is the center of many of the executive operations of the Law School.
Michael A. Fitts, Dean and Bernard G. Segal Professor of Law
Michael Fitts’ vision for creating a cross-disciplinary, globally-focused program to prepare graduates to become leaders in the profession and society continues to place Penn Law at the forefront of legal education. Our program is multifaceted and takes maximum advantages of the University’s superb graduate and professional schools, which are all located nearby. Dean Fitts has been instrumental in transforming the Law School’s facilities into one of the nation’s finest law school campuses.
Jo-Ann Verrier, Vice Dean for Administrative Services The Vice Dean focuses her efforts on implementing the Law School’s strategic plan and on ensuring that students are well served by the various administrative offices at Penn Law. She also works with the Dean of Students and Registrar’s Offices to streamline administrative processes for the Law School’s joint degree programs.
Business Affairs and Facilities
Business Affairs administers accounts payable activity, student event finances, payroll, travel, financial services, and accounting. The Facilities department manages all aspects of building administration.
