How to Register... Students must register and pay for each course before they attend the first class meeting. Students may register online or in person at one of our four campus locations. Tuition is the same for Florida residents and non-Florida residents. There is no admissions fee. To register on the Web for continuing education courses:

Frequently Asked Questions 1. Can I register at one campus for classes on another campus? Yes. You can register for any PBCC class at any PBCC campus location. You can also register online at www.pbcc.edu/cce.xml

2. My class was cancelled. How do I get my refund?

1. Go to www.pbcc.edu/cce.xml 2. Click on the Register for a Class link. If you are a current or previous continuing education student and know your student ID and PIN/password click, go to PantherWeb. If you know your student ID but can't remember your PIN/password, click on PIN/Password Reset for directions.

Refunds are mailed automatically unless you register for a class in its place. Refunds will either be issued back to the credit/ debit card that was used or mailed to you in the form of a check. REFUND POLICY: Students who wish to drop a class must do so before the start date in order to receive a 100 percent refund. To drop a class, go to www.pbcc.edu/cce.xml or go in person to any campus registrar’s office.

3. When will I get my refund? Refunds are typically issued within 3-4 weeks after the add/drop period as stated in the College catalog.

OR If you have never attended or applied to PBCC before, you need to complete an application. Click on the Apply Online link. When you complete and submit the application, you will be directed to PantherWeb. 3. Log on to PantherWeb and click on Registration.

4. What is the difference between college credit and noncredit classes? Credit classes count toward graduation in certain programs of study. Noncredit classes are primarily for job advancement, enhancement or training.

5. How do I get a parking decal?

4. Third Party Payments Students must supply written confirmation from third party payor before registering for class. Textbooks are available online or at the bookstore. Please note: The campus bookstores are closed on Saturdays.

Don’t forget to pick up your parking decal!

To obtain a parking decal, all students taking noncredit classes will need to present a paid receipt or schedule showing that classes have been paid for. Students will receive one decal that will be good for the current academic year. There will be a $5 fee for replacement decals or additional decals for second vehicles. Parking decals can be obtained from the Security Office at the Lake Worth and Palm Beach Gardens locations, or from the Cashier’s Office at the Boca Raton and Belle Glade locations. Cars that have a PBCC parking decal MAY NOT park in VISITOR or RESERVED parking spaces or they will receive a ticket.

The American Sign Language Program at PBCC introduces participants to the ASL hearing-impaired culture, the history of the profession, and the field of interpreting, including K-12 educational interpreting and state and national interpreting testing systems. Interpreters serve as the communication link for individuals in classrooms, offices and various other settings. These courses award Continuing Education Credit (CEU’s) and do not apply toward a college degree.

Students at this level should have had little or no exposure to American Sign Language (ASL). Instruction and student response at this level is recommended to be in American Sign Language only. The course will cover the pathological and cultural aspects of deafness which include: the ear, hearing loss, and introduction to deaf culture and community. Additionally, the course will cover fingerspelling, numbers, sign language grammar which includes facial expressions, vocabulary, and basic ASL sentence construction. Instruction and student response at this level is required to be in American Sign Language only with no vocalization by instructor and student. The course will cover rules of social interaction including role shifting, deaf history in the United States, finger spelling at the intermediate sign language level, money systems, time sequence, color modifiers, English translation of dialogues and storytelling, and expanded vocabulary. The course will also cover professions/fields of deafness, deaf education interpreters, community interpreters, audiologists, doctors and ministers. ECG recognition is an essential element of the ACLS course, and participants will be responsible for the identification and interpretation of ECG rhythms.
