Range - 5 Publications and covers which turn into posters - Map of the floor guide of the Typocircle Speakers exhibition at Nottingham Contemporary

Brief: The brief was to promote 5 typocircle speakers at an exhibition held at the Nottingham Contemporary. The challenge of the breif was to find a way to brand 5 typographers into one exhibition.

Range - Publication design for Mapgie Studio, this board shows how the cover becomes interactive and turns into a mini poster. - Also a range of different typography for the five designers.

I deceided to brand the 5 Typocircle Speakers using both hand-drawn & digital typography using different letterforms to commuincate the different typographers approach in their field.

The guidelines of the images use the same guide as the front cover. The images have to be seen above a certain point and the body copy below a certain guide line.

Range - Poster for A2/SW/HK - A set of postcards containg the five different Typocircle speakers. - An advert inside Computer Arts.

The advertisiment for the event was researched using professionals who visited college and asked them where would they usually find out about certain events. The other proposal was a sent email to blogs.

Range - Tour Guide App - Map of the Exhibition

I designed an app to become interactive when walking around the exhibition where the GPS highlights certain artwork to viewer is looking at and extra information is available on the info page of the screen. I always produced a traditional Floor Guide for anyone who doesn’t have a smart phone.

Brief: The brief was to create a Publication to be published every Friday Monday for the transport system in London. The publication contains five categories, World News, UK News, Culture, Business and Sport. Each article of each section will be based on the most popular news within the categories.

The articles offer more information about each article that has become popular within the news that week. This can be facts and figures about certain subjects or past similar events for articles.

An example of the additional information about certain articles. The articles above was based on how artwork is selling for much more thean the valuation prices at Sotherby’s London. The double page spread shows the value and selling price for the top10 pieces of artwork sold.

Stickers for the publication will be posted up around London Transport system, these are based around facts of the subjects the publications contain. These are short and interesting little facts to get the consumers want to read the whole article.

The colours of the inside the publication contrast the front cover and poster. The whole publication above is printed in one colour. The front cover is foiled to add some depth and visual interest to the consumers.

Range - App for the iPad - App for smart phones.

The app for the ipad is ideal for the target audience comutting as they can access it when travelling and also save the cost of publications. Anpther advertising scheme would be to ask the More Chance app the chances of events occuring, this plays on the name of the brand but also works due to the contents inside the publication.

Brief: The brief was to produce an Annual Report for Swatch the watch manufacturer. The concept was to brand the annual report as if it was being target towards its audience. I research into the fastly growing hip market and created personas to influence the development of the annual.

The delivery of the publication will be available online and also printed. The printed version uses textures to give it an old worm feel inspired also by abstract shapes and Scandinavian design.

The abstract shapes and Scandinavian design runs through the publications, images are grey scale so the it balances well with the abstract shapes.

Range - Posters for the Swatch board room

The set of posters highlight the figures for 4 different sections of the publication. The visuals are inspired by the different clock hands found on the watches and the positive results run clockwise and the negative results run anticlockwise.
