The navigation for the Annual Report is influenced by the categorization of the D&AD Student Awards 2012 Rules (PDF). Each category within the annual has its own chapter number and is then broken down into sub categorises.

All the pages on the printed and screen-based annuals are navigated using this system. By using the categorization found from the Rules set by D&AD it straightaway reflects the tone of voice of D&AD.

The use of visuals to represent the data refers to the D&AD pencils. The scale of the pencil depends of the data it represents. The ruler marks found on the side of the pages & the data tables have all been created using a soft weighted lead pencil to support the visuals and also the D&AD organisation.

An important aspect for answering the brief was to show controlled decisions for how the interaction differs from print & screen medias. also interaction for selecting the different hierarchy’s for the image based information.
