OďŹƒce of Sustainable Design All Publicly Funded Work Over $2M Project Director. Responsible for reviewing drawing sets and specifications at milestone submissions. Responsible for facilitating and providing guidance for implementation of sustainable design strategies and technologies during design and construction. Responsible for interpreting Local Law 86 and writing project scopes for sustainable design requirements. Responsible for initiating research topics to supplement DDC’s research agenda. Projects: East Elmhurst Library Expansion (Garrison Architects), Kings County Courthouse Renovation (FX Fowle Architects), PSAC II (SOM), Glen Oaks Library (Marble Fairbanks Architects), Brooklyn Detention Center (1100 Architect), MCC Theater (Andrew Berman Architect), Kennsington Library (Sen Architects), City Hall Renovation (BBB Architects), DHS Family Intake Center (Polshek Partnership), DEP Storehouse (Work AC).

East Hampton Residence 10,000 sqft $20M Construction Cost Project Architect & Construction Administrator. Responsible for design development, exterior wall detailing, design and detail of glass curtain wall addition and on-site construction administration 4+ days a week. Project: Single family home built to LEED Gold Standards.

Gowanus Power Plant 9,400 sqft $2M Budget for Facilities Building Project Manager. Responsible for creating community presentations, preliminary design strategies, organizing schematic design set for bid documents, distribution of workload and management of fee. Project: Facilities building for a new turbine at an existing peaker plant set to reduce polluting emissions considerably. Project goals include LEED Platinum Certification and a commitment to community education on energy use and sustainability.

01. Perforated metal screen exterior (with varying apertures to maximize shading and views) 02. Large window opening at north facades for maximum daylighting 03. Exterior screen panel supports 04. Operable windows for natural ventilation 05. Thick insulation layer at north facades (to control heat loss) 06. Angled louver at south side (angled to maximize summer shading and winter daylighting) 07. Thermal storage layer on south facades 08. Air cavity between thermal storage layer and interior ďŹ nish layer 09. Operable vents (allow warm air from cavity into warehouse in winter, and vented to outside in summer) 10. Interior structure (separated from enclosure to allow future reconďŹ guration/expansion) 11. Light relective surface at ceiling (maximizing daylight penetration) 12. Planted roof (in modular system to allow future relocation)

Skanska Headquarters 22,000 sqft $2M Construction Cost Project Architect. Responsible for design presentations and development, construction details, distribution of workload and fee management. Project: interior renovation of the 32nd floor of the Empire State Building. Project received LEED Platinum Certification.

Hong Kong Hotel 28 floors Consultant. Worked with Meyer Davis Studio on a proposal for a hotel competition in Hong Kong. Responsible for plans, building 3D model, exterior facade rendering and visualization of retail space.

Queens Plaza Urban Design Project Manager. Responsible for design development, city planning presentations and coordination with Margie Ruddick Landscapes. Project: redevelopment of parking and sidewalks from Queens Plaza to the Queensboro Bridge for addition of bicycle paths, benches and a public plaza, and improved pedestrian circulation. Winner of the AIA New York Merit Award.

Morton Arboretum Visitor Center 30,000 sqft $10M Construction Cost Junior Designer. Responsible for building elevations and construction details of design development and construction documents, presentation images and study models. Project: New visitor center for Morton Arboretum in Chicago.
