A story in your morning edition of 4/26/76, headed "British School Study Rates Old-Fashioned Ones Higher" tells us that a te8111 of Brit- ish researchers testing chil- dren in 671 British schools at the beginning and at the end of a school year, found that the children in old- fashioned schools, co•pared to the children in progress- ive schools, were three or four aonths ahead in reading ability and English, and four or five months ahead in Math- ematics.
