Forest Bathing The sight of green and brown hues, the sound of rustling leaves, the aroma of earth, the wind upon your face, the peace in mind and the warmth in your soul. Have you ever noticed how your arms open wide, your neck tilts backwards, your eyes shut, and an automatic smile appears on your face as you enter a forest? This unconscious reaction signals that your body is healing and feeling one with nature. This brings us to the Japanese concept of ShinrinYoku or 'Forest Bathing'; shinrin in Japanese means "forest," and yoku means "bath". So shinrin-yoku means bathing in the forest atmosphere, or "absorbing the forest atmosphere" through all our senses. Forest bathing is not about a walk or hike in the forest; it is about connecting with nature through our senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. nature has miraculous effects on our physical and mental health. Nature is a healer, and forest bathing is the most straightforward technique to enjoy the benefits of natural healing, some effects of which can be felt immediately like the reduction of cortisol in blood level, which in turn reduces stress levels, depression and anxiety. Spending time in nature helps lower blood pressure, heart rate, and muscle tension. It also strengthens our immune system & helps regulate our sleep patterns. These physical benefits further boost our psychological well-being and self-esteem. In today's Tech saturated world, stress levels and autoimmune diseases are at a peak. We are well aware of the fact that most of these diseases are effects of our stressful, urban lifestyle. There is no better time than now to get back to our roots! In simpler words, Forest bathing is an inexpensive yet rewarding formula to enjoy Mother Earth's many rewards. Humans are made to connect to the natural world, to "listen to the wind and taste the air". So reclaim your authority, take a dip into the wild and rejuvenate yourself.

Your Style Statement

Speaking to Safari Plus, Ms. Shruti Daga, CoFounder, Nasher Miles explained why your style is your statement Q) Nasher Miles has made every effort to make their bags suitable to every travel situation. What was the inspiration for each one-of-a-kind design and style? A few years ago, at an international terminal waiting for the luggage on the baggage belt, we realized how monotonous every bag looked. This seemed like an opportunity to break the chain that led to the birth of a brand that is driven by nothing but innovation. Every single piece created at Nasher Miles is designed and engineered to set the customer apart. The bags are bold and sturdy, helping you stand out from the crowd of the same old-fashioned grey and black bags. Adding extra fun to your travel experience and going the distance, being travel enthusiasts, our collections are named after different places in the world. Colour takes center stage whenever we think of new designs. We include at least 5-7 colours in every collection. What sets them apart are their pastel hues and their unique and modern combinations of colours which complement the newly established “airport look”. Q) When it comes to travel bags, the Indian philosophy is durability. How is it cared for? The name Nasher is derived from the Persian word "Nasher Kardan" meaning to publish. The word "Miles" underlines every mile of the journey of a traveller. The term "Nasher Miles" together refers to a promise of bringing to the world, real travel experiences Since the

beginning, we've been very affirmative of delivering the best to our fellow travellers and we believe in zero compromises. The outer shells of our bags are excellent and nearly unbreakable which we are proud of. We ensure that our luggage is made from components that can withstand the test of time and undergo a stringent quality check process. Nasher Miles keeps the promise of being a faithful companion in all your travels with colourful bags and a premium collection of bags, backpacks, and luggage trolleys have a shell that is unbreakable and comes with a lifetime warranty against any damage to the shell. Q) With the goal of engaging children at the airport, this might be a tool in which your creativity can shine. What are your opinions on it? We can have a booth where children can show their creativity on suitcases and backpacks. They can colour, draw and add stickers to the bags and give it their own personal touch. To drive the message of unbreakable shells further, we can have a jungle gym/play area made with the luggage shells. Safety of children is paramount, and this will have to be carefully planned. Q) What are your thoughts on the Indian market in this sector? The Indian luggage sector is dominated by Samsonite, VIP and Safari. These incumbents mainly focus on the offline sector. There is immense room for innovation in the D2C space in this industry, and Nasher Miles is here to change the game. The new-age digital-first brand is here to make travelling easy, efficient, and colourful for you with a wide range of 200+ luggage bags. Our goal is to provide travellers with an opulent and premium looking, durable luggage set of excellent quality that was aspirational yet affordable.

DUBAI The Future is Here!

Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) recently organised a roadshow in India, to strengthen the relationships with the leading travel agents and encourage Indian to travel back to Dubai. The Destination management companies, theme park, Museum of Future alongside number of hospitality representatives from Dubai, were present for the event. DET also focussed on some unexplored destination, the leisure offerings and updates that position Dubai as an MICE and weddings destination for the Indian market this year. In an exclusive interview with Safari Plus, Mr Bader Ali Habib, Head of Region- South Asia, DET, said, “We are excited to be back in India Market with our trade and hospitality partners. Dubai welcomed 7.28 million international overnight visitors between January and December 2021, (32% YoY growth) and India being No.1 source market registered 910,000 visitors (5.3 per cent YoY). As the international flights resumed and travel restrictions were eased, Dubai regained momentum to register positive growth and the trend continued for the Q1 2022 with the mark of 376,000 Indian visitors.” Q) Investment opportunity in Dubai and mainly in Tourism Industry, can you put some light on this? And also tell us more about the Golden Visa? Dubai has been able to reinforce the trust that UAE residents and global travellers place in the city as one of the safest in the world, allowing them to enjoy the diversity of the destination offering within a relaxed environment. As we move forward throughout 2022, we are confident that the significant momentum now gathered will accelerate even further to continue to attract not just tourists but also investors, entrepreneurs and innovators to Dubai, enabling them to enjoy and avail themselves of all that our multi-faceted city has to offer. Dubai is home to over 200 nationalities. Delivering exceptional experiences combined with an outstanding quality of life. Dubai continues to launch bold regulatory initiatives to promote accelerated growth of the tourism sector including streamlining access to the Emirate by establishing hassle-free entry procedures for business and leisure travellers, as well as long-term engagement with the city. New strategic, legislative and regulatory enablers including the

recent announcement of more options under the Golden Visa category, as well as the increase in the duration of the tourist visa from 30 days to 60 days, commencing from September, are set to further boost visitor arrivals and encourage visitors to stay longer and explore the city's diverse offering, while also supporting those who are considering a permanent move to Dubai. This is in addition to the property investor and entrepreneur visas and Retire in Dubai and Virtual Working programmes - giving more flexibility and options for talent to visit and stay and highlighting Dubai's position as a global destination for business, investment and tourism. Q) As the Tourism is Back into Action. How are you planning to Market Dubai in India Market? Supporting the city's commitment to always offer something new, unique and world-class to every global traveller, 2021 saw further strides made in broadening Dubai's appeal to a wide spectrum of visitors with the opening of new attractions and leisure destinations including Ain Dubai, Deep Dive Dubai, Hatta Dome Park and The View at The Palm, to name a few, while building on the destination pillars - from culture to cuisine, entertainment, outdoor adventures to beach activities, family-oriented experiences to shopping - as well as leveraging the opportunities provided by iconic festivals and events like the Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Summer Surprises to increase visitation by leisure and business travellers. Building upon the city's drive to further diversify its offerings to ensure a broad choice to travellers of all ages and interests, Q1 2022 saw the opening of new attractions and leisure landmarks including the Museum of the Future and Dubai Expo 2020. Dubai also continued to capture a raft of awards and recognition from across the industry, elevating the destination's global reputation. Dubai's recent selection as the world's most popular destination, the No.1 destination for 'City Lovers' and No. 4 destination for 'Food Lovers' in the Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice Awards 2022 speaks volumes to the city's endless appeal to diverse audiences from around the world. Dubai's reputation as a global gastronomy hub was further bolstered by the announcement of the launch of Michelin Guide Dubai in June and the arrival of the renowned fine dining food critique brand Gault&Millau.

The Museum of the Future Often, we find ourselves wondering what the future could look like, envisioning an array of possibilities and questioning our own positioning in the world of tomorrow. What will our life look like? What will the future hold for our children? Today, the future is at the very doorstep of humanity, the opportunity is here as we believe that the future is something we ourselves can design. Driven by the wise vision of its leadership, as always, Dubai has brought to life a one of a kind hub, for visionaries, talents and great minds from around the globe to shape the future, “Museum of the Future”, which opened its doors on February 22, 2022, welcoming guests to embark on a journey to the year 2071. Entry Ticket per person is AED 145 (3 years and above). From Dubai and the UAE to the rest of the world, the Museum of the Future is a ‘living museum’ aiming to contribute to a deep intellectual movement, through connecting thinkers and experts from around the world and acting as a test bed for future generations to create innovative solutions for the challenges facing society. As described by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai the Museum of the Future is “the most beautiful building on Earth”. It is a spectacular building that speaks Arabic, representing the revival of Arab excellence in the fields of science, mathematics and research, and an appreciation of the past Arab intellectuals that aims at resuming Arab civilization and renaissance. Rising 77 metres above the ground, the striking structure is an

architectural marvel, built by using robotic technology and with an emphasis on sustainability. The building is powered with 4,000 megawatts of solar energy. The pillarless structure is home to seven unique and distinct floors. For its visitors, the museum comprises an unparalleled window to experience the future in all its aspects and dimensions.

The Museum of the Future employs the latest technologies of virtual and augmented reality, data analysis, artificial intelligence and human machine interaction. Answering many questions related to the future of humans, cities, societies, life on planet Earth and outer space, the museum’s exhibits orchestrate a world beyond human knowledge, providing visitors with innovative experiences unfold across five different exhibitions that explore the future of space travel and living, climate change and ecology, health, wellness, and spirituality. Coming face-to-face with never-seen-before space technology and getting introduced to humanity's home in outer space, the visitor’s journey begins in the depths of our solar system. Paying tribute to the inspiring Emirates Mars Mission project that saw the Hope Probe successfully enter Mars’ orbit last year, this exhibit complements a crowning milestone for the UAE and the Arab World. The Museum of the Future experience encourages its visitors to partake in special missions and, unlike a traditional museum that showcases fragments of the past, it provides a portal to the future, in a scientific attempt to explore its variables, potential challenges and expected characteristics. In an environment centred around health, wellbeing and the sense of self, visitors will embark on a peaceful and empowering journey, as light will be shed on reconnecting to human senses and learning to detach from the personal immense use of technology. The Museum of the Future will also showcase novel innovations from the near future through its partnerships with industry-leading companies and organisations to highlight emerging technologies and trends created for the betterment of humanity.

Believing that the future does not have an age preference, this museum will provide children with dedicated experience that encourages their youngest minds to explore and learn several future-proofing skills through an open-world experience, in a step that helps them to innovate, and allows them to create the future they look forward to and to be a pivotal part of its characteristics.
