Client: Guardian Holdings Limited Design: Alice Besson The 2012 Annual Report for Caribbean insurance giant Guardian Holdings Limited was designed around the idea of turning the complexities of life into benefits for the people of the Caribbean and beyond. The report was awarded the 2013 Platinum MarCom Award for design.
Guardian Group released their new “Live Easy� branding in 2013, and their annual report had to drive the new image home to the shareholders. Attractive cover finishing gave the report distinction and made it tactile and memorable. Our design was so spot on that Guardian chose to repeat the look for their 2014 report!

Stakeholders at the AGM loved to read the various articles about this tradition-rich yet dynamic institution that we wrote for the report.

Client: Readymix (West Indies) Ltd. Design: Alice Besson Tilt-shift photography gave this annual report its buzz: life-sized buildings and people looked like miniature-scale paper cutouts. A fun concept for Readymix’ slogan “Build to last for generations”! And this customer also chose an interesting layout for their financials!

In 2015, we gave the magazine a fresh look to suit AmCham’s new logo. We are proud of the clean, modern look that we have given this magazine while it has been in our care. It is truly a special and meaningful project to us!

Client: Angostura Limited Design: Zoë Almandoz Angostura’s employee handbooks featured tasteful colours, clean lines and bold typography. We wanted the Angostura employees to enjoy an easy to read publication with a bit of a retro look.
Angostura and Paria have a long-standing relationship that has produced lots of lovely offspring: years of the quarterly “Distiller” magazine, dozens of annual reports, external and internal brochures, tradefair booths, Rum Festival designs, logos, an entire Museum, several large exhibits, and much more.
Client: Angostura Limited Design & Copy: Alice Besson Angostura’s HR department required an internal office branding campaign that stood out on the overcrowded notice board. They needed a template that was bright and eye-catching that would get their staff’s attention. So said, so done! We came up with tongue-in-cheek ideas that attracted the attention of employees while conveying important messages. It worked!

Corporate Identity Client: GSAL Designs Ltd. Design: Alice Besson Who says that a logo always has to look the same? This firm of architects and urban planners surely doesn’t. So they get fun and individual callcards and seasonal adaptations to their logo, while always remaining recognisable. Even the brochure, conceptualised as a presentation tool on a clipboard, has interchangeable pages. Branding at its most exciting! We also gave them a motto: well done isn’t rare. Go GSAL!

Newsletters Client: The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Design: Dominic Besson “Beyond the Pipeline” is part of NGC’s important and extensive Community Investment Programme, and features the company’s activities in the fields of sport, civic life and empowerment of communities in Trinidad and Tobago. Produced quarterly, it is highly illustrated with very good photography done by NGC and has community stakeholder appeal. Paria Publishing also undertakes other production work for NGC (e.g. their corporate profile) and did the research and writing for the company’s community investment report.

The challenge was to combine the newsletter with a branded give-away to staff. The first issue was presented to employees in a reusable water bottle. And the second issue came with a tally book with branded notepaper (the actual newsletter was removable in both cases!)
