SUMMER

F

reedom That indescribable feeling of fulfilment that the human beings has in his individuality. Fresh, intense air, that of which skims the skin and bristles the soul. Colour, joy, love of life. And time -so powerful yet so ephemeral-.

At a time when everything seems to have faded and lost sense, I would like to dedicate the following words to these concepts that transport us to a state of happiness and that, as it happens, have now become the most desired. Fashion reflects the society in which we live, the moment in which we find ourselves. I invite you to read this edition of Magazine, perhaps the most special to date. Hopefully it will allow you to escape faraway. As well as immersing yourselves in the world of fashion and current trends, feel these previously mentioned concepts -they are not just words-. Find time and space to enjoy reading these pages. I hope they elevate you, make you dream of the freedom of the women that inspire, the freshness of the air we breathe, the colour of the flowers that blossom in spring, the sun shining bright... And make you reflect on time, the most valuable asset that we have and will ever have.

Thank you very much to be there LucĂa Lorenzo Colomar

still keep a Liberty flower card on which a beautiful note was written to me. One of those that make you smile every time you read it.

Whenever I see a print inspired by nature, I instantly associate it with a positive and energetic state of mind. This has been the feeling I have experienced whilst collaborating in the making of this Magazine edition. An issue that celebrates the liveliest fashion and enhances the natural beauty of women. As Matisse said: "There are always flowers for those who want to see them." LOREA ESKISABEL

P

erhaps, this is the most special Magazine issue that I have been involved in editing. In the first place, because of the circumstances, which make it unique and exceptional, and in the second place, because of the concept of time.

When I think about time, my mind, like that of many of you, takes me to a series of memories made up of a set of mental images, past moments, sentences, or even feelings that go in and out of my stomach in the form of small impulses. Fashion, like the aspects that I was mentioning, remains throughout time. It can be altered, transformed and it can also evolve, but it always remains. Like Magazine, of which I am sure you will enjoy seeing its photographs and reading its texts as much as we have done. AINHOA PIZARRO

eing able to participate in the production of the fourth Magazine issue has been an absolute pleasure. It is a privilege to obtain direct information from the creative teams, designers and buyers, as to what we will receive during the season and to be able to identify all the trends that we will follow as a brand during the SS20 campaign.

I hope you enjoy reading it in the same way that we have enjoyed creating this content. MARC COMPANY

WOMAN

E T E R N I T Y

The serenity conveyed by Peter Lindbergh's black and white photographs, the movement of a silk dress when walking, Christy Turlington's natural face or a white shirt's invisible pattern. These are all part of that intangible timelessness represented by a fashion style that doesn't age over time. An ethernal universe in which there is only space for designer basics to be worn by a cultured woman who loves the purity of what apparently seems simple. It is in this environment in which the cleanliness of the elegant and refined lines stands out, and where the details are important but at the same time are represented to the minimum expression. What's new: the superposition of garments. Predominantly length over length, and lightweight materials that overlayer. From the straightest cuts to pleats. And, sometimes, the creative manipulation of fabrics offers a certain, perfectly balanced, futuristic look. The aim at all times is femininity, through the modernization of suits or through the revitalization of monastic-like dresses. And this is natural elegance: the absence of apparent artifice.

ETERNITY

B A C K

The most mature and wise minimalism returns, the one that dresses a woman in a feminine way and avoids passing trends. Masculine airs that move away from strict styles. In a relaxed way, we find ourselves with a fashion style that pursues simplicity and novelty by mixing contrasted fabrics. From structured pieces made of poplin to the most fluid, silky and light garments. Fashion moves in a bright scenario in which the presence of timeless garments, like overalls, returns adding quality and impact to outfits. These may be worn over a two-piece suit or a slip less dress, reminding us of Kate Moss' style in the 90s.

In this scenario, the colour palettes are thought out in soft hues such as bone and cream tones, powdered shades or the black and white binomial that plays an essential role in those outfits styled to pursue the cleanest and most sophisticated impact.

POWER SUIT TING

New lenghts

Spring is all about elegant garments: a bloom of tailored garments can be appreciated as well as the absolute leading role of the blazer. Relaxed style, overlayering of pieces and straight sleeves simulate the feminine version of the classic and masculine three-piece suit. The length of trousers is essential, as is the loose silhouette of jackets that layer over vests of the same quality or that are worn under matching overalls. That's how this empowerd woman dresses.

PAT TERNS Bare shoulders

The simplicity of lines is key to understanding patterns that always suggest the feminine shape. Geometric necklines, skirts with side openings, and asymmetrical cuts allow the body to be seen. These garments are full of character.

Tank tops make the shoulder an absolute protagonist. In a powerful and energetic, yet simple way, it becomes the t-shirt with which suits, denim or flowing trousers are combined. Made of cotton, it is the perfect and indispensable basic.

FLUIDIT Y

In this ethereal and minimalist context of carefully thought patterns, fluidity is amongstthe most visible and better developed concepts. As if they represented the movement of a curtain, the most lightweight fabrics are used for designs that include pleats and combinations of symmetries that contrast with the most pure lines. All of the pieces that belong to this beautiful universe are created in neutral and pale tones.

This season, the dose of arty character and personality is suggested by black and white prints that take us to the most cosmopolitan and sophisticated minimalism. Shapes that intertwine to draw optical creations in which originality and subtlety remain intact.

THE URBAN EXPLORER

A window with views to the horizon where time stops. It all arises around the romantic idea of packing up for a new destination. The garments that compose the traveler style are usually rich in detail, the patterns of these pieces are combined with plastron pockets, hems and zippers. The warm and organic colour palette ranges from the purest white to khaki green, without forgetting the infinite earth tones, to which this season we add new colours such as ginger and oranges. The style is characterized by the mix and contrast of fabrics, specially those of natural origin, such as cotton, ramie, linen and the everlasting leather. The prints are inspired by nature, animals and the botanical world. It all comes together to dress the most adventurous woman that seeks inspiration in the world that she is surrounded by.

TRAVELER LO OK

The style of the traveler woman combines handcrafted and natural fabrics. The garments are dyed in neutral colours that come from the earth and, because of the utilitarian patterns of worker pieces, details gain importance. The jumpsuit is the protagonist of this Spring Summer season. This is how the most relaxed and contrast-filled outfits are created. Leather plays an essential role, whether it's in the form of a key garment or an must-have accessory.

Pattern becomes an ode to nature, adding the touch of colour to high-temperature outfits. The botanical world is present in all sort of garments, which can be worn independently or combined in order to mix different prints. This is how the trend with most rythm and freshness of the season is set.

LOST IN THE GARDEN

Like in a Sofia Coppola movie, Victorian-style blouses, volumetric sleeves, soft colours and a naive aesthetic nourish the most hedonistic and romantic trend. Small touches of floral prints, handcrafted details on some pieces, and handmade accessories, such as baskets, suggest a bohemian and relaxed world, full of sunlit beauty and sophistication.

A ROMANTIC PIECE

If there is a protagonist in this universe, it's undoubtedly the blouse, no matter its format. Whether it's a painter-style blouse, has ruffles on fists and neck; with big collar, voluminous sleeves or details in lace and cutwork embroidery, it becomes the key piece in any outfit. The new versions of the classic poplin shirt set the trend and go beyond the expected, often including floral prints andacquiring a relaxed and feminine French air. C’est la vie!

THE STR AW BAG

Baskets, net bags and braided shoppers complete the romantic and urban look during the warmer seasons. The world of accessories clearly identifies basketry as the craft that reawakens and becomes the new luxury. Combined with leather or cotton, the iconic accessory once worn by a young Jane Birkin, returns to claim the need for a more ethical and sustainable fashion.
