Loggerhead Marinelife Center is committed to the conservation of Florida’s coastal ecosystems through public education, research and rehabilitation with a focus on threatened and endangered sea turtles. Since its inception in 1992, Bob Lappin and The Palm Beach Pops has become a fixture in South Florida’s cultural arena. Comprised predominantly of local musicians, the group has been embraced by the community as a source of world-class entertainment right in their own backyard. Palm Beach State College | 7 The Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center (DHCAC) is a 470seat theatre nestled on the banks of a small lake on Palm Beach State College’s Belle Glade campus. The Center is “Bringing the Arts to Life” through a professional guest artist series which features music, dance, theatre and more. 8 | Henry Morrison Flagler Museum

When it was completed in 1902, the New York Herald proclaimed that Whitehall, Henry Flagler’s Gilded Age estate in Palm Beach, was “more wonderful than any place in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world.” Today, Whitehall is a National Historic Landmark and is open to the public as the Flagler Museum, featuring guided tours, changing Nexhibits and special programs.

South Florida Science Center and Aquarium | 15

Founded in 1961, the mission of the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium (SFSCA) is to open every mind to science through the strategic programming of interactive exhibits, engaging community-based camps and events. Delray Beach Center for the Arts offers world-class events, theater, exhibits and learning opportunities. The restored early 20th century school buildings house the charming Cornell NMuseum of Art & American Culture (c. 1913), the intimate Crest Theatre (c. 1925) and a Vintage Gymnasium. The Pavilion, which opened in 2002, hosts outdoor concerts and festivals. The School of Creative Arts offers art, photography and writing classes. The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens comprise the historic home, sculpture gardens and artist’s studio of sculptor Ann Weaver Norton (1905-1982). Displayed throughout the house, studio and gardens are more than 100 works by the artist, including nine monumental sculptures, eight in brick and one in granite. The Gardens were designed by Ann Norton and Sir Peter Smithers and feature a collection of 300 species of tropical palms from around the world.
