Town of Oro Valley Parks and Recreation Guide Fall 2016

WELCOME!

HOW TO REGISTER

As we cheer for our United States Olympians this year, I can’t help but wonder how many of these athletes got their start, their passion, their first medal in a community park or pool. Oro Valley has high caliber facilities (fields at Naranja Park, tennis courts at Pusch Ridge, the Aquatic Center to name a few) where youth and adults train for the gold medal or for personal goals. This fall program guide provides highlights of these facilities as well as related programming. Moreover, I am excited to announce our newest program offering titled I Can Too! for young people with disabilities. Through the use of activity modifications and greater staff-to-youth ratios, participants will have the opportunity to play alongside their non-disabled peers in an inclusive environment. Program listing is on page 19. Join me in cheering our Team USA athletes to bring home the gold! See you in the parks! Kristy Diaz-Trahan, director Oro Valley Parks & Recreation
