Q: Aren’t you working on some projects now? G: Right now I am Chantay, I have been working really hard and trying to figure out what I really like to do. And lately I love my job and I’m realizing like there’s a side of me, there’s a reason why I am on Pinterest every night. And I need to make these things come to life. So lately I’ve been thinking about starting a store called With Sugar on Top Creations. Q: With Sugar on Top? That’s Fantastic! G: But you know I’m a 1st grade teacher, I love cupcakes and I love to craft. Why not put them together? Q: Do you know how well With Sugar on Top sounds with Orchids & Spice?

G: You really think so? Okay then we will have to work together. Q: Absolutely, absolutely. So tell me more…You’re thinking about making it an Etsy store? G: So at first it was going to be an Etsy store kind of thing but it’s been really hard to get that out. I’ve been trying to figure out how do I get other people to know about my Etsy store. Because when you say Etsy there are so many different sites. And you kind of have to make
yourself stand out. And by being new it’s hard. So I’ve been thinking about actually turning that into a Lifestyle Blog and having my store supported through like a big cartel so I’ll have that as just a tab. But it’s been so exciting. I have all of these crafts that I have been making. Lately I’ve been making bridal hangers and different things like that. I’ve been trying to think of what do people want and what I can disperse mass amounts of and bring it into my store while at the same time not losing my craft for other people but enjoying making this a business that’s like an outlet for me. Q: That sounds fantastic and it sounds like you already have a great plan and a great foundation going. Definitely let me know if you need any help! Besides that what are some things you are the most passionate about? G: I’m most passionate about my friends and family. I know that sounds cliché but it’s true. We’ve also talked about some new additions in my life as far as like, you know, the love coming in and all of it has been so exciting! It’s good when you feel

good about certain people in your life. I’m also passionate about being cultured, being experienced and traveling. Those are the things no one can take away from me. I think that all of these things develop into an artistic little realm. Q: I agree! We’ll definitely have to travel together too! For all of the younger girls out there that are where we were say 10 years ago, what would you tell your 10 year younger self knowing what you know now? G: Be Open. You know nothing about Oceanography so why do you want to be a marine biologist. Letting those dreams go and now looking back I ‘ve become such an open minded individual. When I was younger we lived in a different area where it was like, you were reserved to yourself. So I would tell myself, be open, experience new people, don’t be so confined to a bubble and doing things quote on quote ‘perfectly’. Q: I love that! Now last thing, where do you see yourself by the end of this year? G: Being really happy at my job. Being just around really positive energy. I want to be able to say by the end of the year my crowd reflects what I want. Not just my friend ships but also my work arena. I really want to be consistent with my blog and see it flourish.
