What is Optimastudio? Optimastudio is a multidisciplinary design consultancy founded in 2004 specialized in communication and design solutions. We have colaborated with clients such as the Museo Reina Sofía, Nike, Ilion Animation Studios, Grupo Zeta or the Real Federación Española de Atletismo.

European Indoor Championships in Athletics

We just come to win The European Indoor Championships in Athletics was one of the biggest athletics events held in Spain in recent years. Optimastudio created the visual identity and the advertising campaign for this event: • TV, radio and newspapers • Street furniture, signage and promotional material • Big format in the surrondings and in the interior of “Palacio de los Deportes”. • Programs, institutional publications and press kits

Results:

• Greater visibility and notoriety • Renovation of the continuity of communicactions of the RFEA that did not perform in a highly competitive environment with sports such as football, basketball or tennis with bigger budgets and campaigns tailored to the their audiences.

• Improved ticket sales contribution over the 3 days of competition.

San Silvestre Vallecana

Fast, Fast! The San Silvestre Vallecana Race born in 1964 as a humble local run and today is the main race in Spain, thanks to a massive participation and Nike’s sponsorship since 1998. In 2011 participation reached more than 34.000 runners. Optimastudio has developed the registration and the online payment system of the the race in 2009, 2010 and 2011, a complex App focused on runners as well as organizers.

The App supports a very demanding work, managing up to 32 different types of registrations and a huge amount of registers, specially in the opening of the event:

Running & Mobility Free Mobile app for participants in the San Silvestre Vallecana run, available in AppStore and Android Market. This app features content and tools designed specifically for runners.

Almagro’s International Classical Theatre Festival

How to bring renaissance theatre back to the 21th Century? Almagro’s Festival is a main reference for classical theater in Spain. It started its 33th edition, looking at the future and facing necessary and exciting communication challenges. Optimastudio participated in this new period redesigning the identity of the Festival and designing a new website coherent with the Festival’s strategic roadmap.

The new website accomplish several objectives:

• All tickets sold thanks to a clear and effective buying process. • Increase of visits and community of “Likers”: -Almost 3.000 new members on Facebook -More than 42,000 visits -More than 213,000 page views

• Give more visibility to sponsors The new brand expresses the new strategic

direction, repositioning the Festival with a new visual and more contemporary identity.

• Incorporating web 2.0 tools in the Festival’s communication

Abandon Architectures The design of the book “Abandon Architectures” is a collaboration between Optimastudio and El Ultimo Grito, authors of the publication of the american publisher Name Publications.

Abandon Architectures reflects upon El Ultimo Grito’s interest in how contemporary culture incorporates, re-uses and re-interprets the systems and structures it has inherited. Within this context the challenge is to create new ‘objects’, which can be typologically disentangled from our conventional (learned) understandings of the world, and thus offer alternative ways to live, work and communicate.

Kandor Graphics

Abducted by the art of animation Corporate Website for the a spanish animation studio Kandor Graphics. Kandor, along with their famous partner, actor Antonio Banderas, have achieved significant success in recent years.

“The Missing Lynx” won the 2009 Goya Award to the Best Animated Film and a preselection to the 2009 Hollywood Academy Award for Best Animated Film. The short “The Lady and the Reaper” won the 2010 Goya Award for Best Short Animated Film and an Oscar Nomination in the same category.

Ilion Animation Studios

Now we are bigger lion Animation Studios is a Spanish animation studio whose first project, the animated film Planet 51 has had one of the biggest budgets in the history of European cinema and has been a landmark for Spanish cinema. The Studio has became direct competitor to some other stuadios such as Dreamworks, Pixar or Disney. Ilion entrusted to Optimastudio the re-styling of its brand as well as the new corporate website, including a online positioning in the film industry.

The re-styling of the brand achived:

• A modern and dynamic design for its internal use in differents applications.

• Corporate Visual Identity Manual with clear brand regulations. The new website offers to users:

• The experience of meeting an animation studio from within.

• Facilitate the connections with HR talent.

Museo Reina Sofía

Family Program The museum, through this program, would guide the children as they explore the creative process and the use of color by artists with work on display in the museum. Mark Rothko, Alcaín Alfredo José Guerrero, Alex Katz, Esteban Vicente and Luis Feito were the artists chosen by the customer.


OPTIMASTUDIO INNOVATION THROUGH DESIGN

The concept and activities were developed by the El Ultimo Grito and Optimastudio developed the graphics. The program’s goal is for children to learn in a simple and fun approach, but not infantile or trivialized way, the role of color in modern art. The program consists of an activity book protected by a fold in a poster format that contains a “treasure map” with which the child can be guided to discover the museum in an imaginative way.

Designs for All

We believe! We believe in the huge potential of design as an innovation factor. Optimastudio, with the support of Ceapat-Imserso, decided to write and publish “Designs for All”, our own vision about design and its capacity to promote change. “Designs for All” combines a collection of quotidian, successful, and popular designs, which are a paradigm of Inclusive Design.

This book wants to change the perception that Inclusive Design or Design for All is aimed only to very specific segments of the population. With a changing population and market, there are no “specific” segments. On the other hand, our capabilities change throughout life. To express this concept, we chose to present a collection of popular designs for everyday use that have changed our lives through innovation, user-oriented design and creative thinking.

“Design for All” has already became a work of reference on Wikipedia and no, we have not included it by ourselves :-)

Mirko Bender

We dream of belts Mirko Bender designs and manufactures belts for the most prestigious brands in retail. With over 35 years of experience in the industry, they distribute more than 1,500,000 belts around the world per year.

Strategic positioning: “We dream of belts” The most important element was to explain why Mirko Bender is different. Not only in their products: also in their processes, collaboration with thier costumers and the way they comunicate. Mirko Bender is a client collaborator who combines a highly specialized knowledge wiht the ability to understand the language of fashion, through which they establish a close communication with their costumers.

Presence on the internet: Corporate Website The website is primarily a vehicle to comunicate Mirko Bender´s value proposition to its costumers and give visibility to the company on the Internet with a consistent message. The text, design and graphic content clearly express the position of Mirko Bender an their values.

Nike -El Corte InglĂŠs

You nailed it Optimastudio project - a joint campaign for Nike and El Corte Ingles. For its realization we used 2 sheets of foam, a hammer, more than 1,300 steel nails and lots of patience.

Nike Football Cup Madrid

On the shoulders of giants Madrid Nike Cup events are held simultaneously in 30 cities around the world and aimed at young people age 17 to 22 years “to find and reward the best football talent� and choose the ideal team. Optimastudio designed the website and the graphic image of the event for the city of Madrid.


OPTIMASTUDIO The website should fulfill several functions: providing information on the event, online registration, informs event developments (news, sorting, etc), and generate synergy with the fan pages on Facebook. The communication of the event was centered on the site rather than the printed material in support of retail points.

Dynamic Analysis Creativity for Dynamic Analysis, a marketing action for the pediatric tests for the runners participating in the San Silvestre Vallecana of Madrid 2011.

Carrera de la Mujer

The fastest women La Carrera de la Mujer is a circuit of races held in eight different cities. The Madrid run is the biggest of the capital after the San Silvestre Vallecana Race. In addition, the race is the first sport and social event in the capital for its philanthropic spirit, as its founds are used to fight against breast cancer.

The new website design had to be aligned with the brand and objectives of the event. The website was projected especially for the public’s profile and the spirit of the run. The website is totally managed by the client and it is organized to offer specific information of each one of the races and to update the information in it.
