Charlotte Reschedules St. Patrick's Day Parade To March 21, 2009; Parties Still A Go
I've just had a wonderful week on camp with my youngest boy and 57 other year 6 children plus 12 parents/teachers. We had a wonderful time and I took the opportunity to observe how everyone was eating. With this many people it is pretty indicative of how most of us will eat when we get in a group situation where the choice of when and what we eat is not available to us. Arrange several layers of Swiss cheese in a dark rye bread. Top it with some slices of hot corned beef bad for you and drained sauerkraut. Spread mustard then top with another slice of rye bread. Broadway is one of the most popular destinations in the Big Apple, so before you arrive, be sure to plan on seeing a show. You may have to purchase your tickets in advance or you may be able to get a great deal by buying ahead of time. Research the show that interest you most and buy tickets based on seating corned beef and cabbage value. Remember there are some great off-Broadway shows too, which will save you a bundle and still give you the Big Apple theatre experience. This year, the Hoboken St. Patrick's Parade will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2007. The numerous bars in Hoboken fill up fast, so it is highly recommended that you start drinking first thing in the morning. Popular Irish pubs in Hoboken include: Willie McBride's, Duffy's, Sullivan's, Hobson's Choice, Green Rock, slow cooker corned beef and cabbage McSwiggan's. Other local bars that will be packed during the St. Patrick's Parade include: the Black Bear, OddFellows, Texas-Arizona, Mile Square, and Buskers. Braising is almost the same as stewing - braising is normally applied to larger or whole cuts of meat slowly cooked in a liquid, whilst stewing is used when referring to cut or smaller pieces cooked (wholly immersed) in a liquid. A great traditional recipe cooked on St. Patrick's Day is slow cooker corned beef beer and cabbage. This is an all time favorite among all Irish people. Other vegetables like potatoes and carrots are also
added to this recipe in our house. This makes for an excellent meal because it can be cooked in a crock pot quite early in the morning. No effort is needed to cook this recipe and the dish is ready by dinner time. This is such a simple recipe that you need hardly put in any great effort and you can also be rest assured that you do not even miss a single parade on this day. Try being incognito for the day so that everybody thinks that you were busy cooking your meal. If your budget allows, spend some significant money to make Father's Day a three- or four-day event. Spend some nights and days in New York or San Francisco, taking in the sights, attending theater performances and eating at the best places in town. If Dad would like the glitz and gambling of Las Vegas, make it a family weekend he'll remember with appreciation for many years to come, especially if you pay for it all. The goal of camping is to enjoy the outdoors and appreciate the beauty of nature. Log cabin rentals are usually located in areas with excellent flora and fauna so take lots of pictures. However, no one can go exploring and gaping around nature all the time. To ensure that everybody will have a good time even when staying indoors, bring a load of entertainment. This does not mean home theater. Good books, puzzles, playing cards, and board games bring back the fun in camping. Just remember that cabin rentals do not have electricity so have lots of batteries ready.
