RATIONALE During this module I wanted to explore publication design, type and layout, branding and identity and print process. The briefs chosen had subjects that were of great interest to me so to allow the best of my work to come out of it.

A collaborative brief with Will Cotterill. This brief is a publication exploring the correlation between the pyramids of Giza and the constellation Orion, there is also promotional material for an exhibition where the publication will be sold.
Brief 2
Brief 2 is the branding and promotion for a proposed Architecture lecture series, focusing on minimalist Architecture, how it came about and what it stands for.
Brief 3
This brief explores hand crafted print processes by categorising celestial bodies throughout the universe for a proposed exhibition to showcase and sell the prints. Along with the prints is promotional material for the event and some smaller to be taken away at the event. The branding and identity for Richard Swales, a mature student studying Furniture making at Leeds college of art. Creating brand collateral and an online presence.

Explores studios around Europe and maps out their location as to build a journey for myself over the summer once I have graduated.
BRIEF 1
I chose this brief so I could explore a strong interest of mine, that being the relationship between the pyramids and the Orion constellation. It also gave me an opportunity to explore print process and publication and layout. (4 weeks)
BRIEF 2
I chose this brief so I could refine my brand and identity skills whilst working with a subject matter that has interested me for a while, Minimalist Architecture, it also gave me a chance to explore publication design and create an online presence. (8 weeks)
BRIEF 3
This brief gave me the opportunity to explore my two main interests in life, one in design, print process and one general interest, the Universe. It also allowed me to develop my collaboration skills (5 weeks).

This brief allowed me to further my branding skills which I feel is an intergral part of my design skills, whilst also working with a live client and developing my collaborative work
