After a lesson in one of the most advanced simulators in Canada, you will hop in a real plane and take a half-hour flight over Kelowna. One full day will be spent hands-on in the OC hangar exploring what aircraft maintenance engineering is all about. We will also discuss, explore and learn about drone flying. *Instruction takes place at Okanagan College KLO Campus the first two days of camp, Kelowna Aerospace Campus, 5650 Aerospace Drive (Thursday) and Southern Interior Flight Centre, 6305 Airport Way (Friday). Transportation is not provided. Included are basic flight maneuvers that can be logged towards a real pilot’s license.

Code Mobile at Camp OC Camp OC has once again joined forces with Canada Learning Code’s Code Mobile, who will be visiting multiple times during the summer to bring our campers hands-on, interactive technology education, specifically designed for youth. The campers will have access to several engaging activities using robots, computers and other technology to experience coding, engineering, art, music and more.

Consider volunteering at Camp OC this summer. If you are between the ages of 14 and 18, and are currently enrolled at a middle or high school, you are eligible to volunteer at Camp OC. You can expect a summer full of fun and excitement. You will also earn volunteer credits towards graduation, as we report all volunteer hours back to the School District you are attending.

For more information on volunteering, please visit your school’s guidance or career counsellor or campoc@okanagan.bc.ca for an application package.
