It is noted that world food security is of vital importance for existence of society, certain groups of people and individuals which provides demographic, economic, political, cultural, intellectual and other development opportunities. The issue of food security has a special importance in solving the problem of Georgia's national economic security. In this regard, the country has to strive for establishing the sectoral structure oriented on selfsatisfaction in agricultural sector and sustainable development opportunities. In addition, targeted differential support of the agricultural sector should be regarded as a considerable way for the country's growing income. From the food security point of view, the sectoral structure, oriented on the country's food security should be developed in agricultural sector, which will promote sustainable development of food production. While developing national food security strategy, the ways of overcoming above mentioned problems should be taken into consideration, which will form the basis for making food security system healthier and increasing competitiveness of food manufacturing companies.
