Take us through a typical day for you. At school, I typically get up, chug a green smoothie or protein bar, and rush off to practice in my sweats. Here, I start my day, dare I say it, like an adult. I usually try to get up in time to grab a cup of coffee and take a quick shower before putting on my “big girl pants” and heading off to work. In Athens, my days usually consist of rushing place to place throughout the day and ending obligations late into the night. In Kampala, I am on a very regular routine. I go to work at around 7 a.m. and work until around 5 p.m., at which point I come home, have dinner and do some reading before bed. It has really given me the opportunity to do some insightful reading and have some time with myself, time I didn’t always have before.
