Summer camp in Fuyang Update!

Hope of the future

How to come to Tianjin a. Apply for a VISA and make sure you can stay in China for at least one month. A tourist VISA would be OK. If you need a work VISA, please email Bryan.

b. Book the ticket to Beijing. The flight should come before June 27th.

c. After you arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA), please take a taxi or the subway to Southern Beijing Railway Station. You will see the subway route in next page.

d. Now you have successfully come to the railway station. Take the Beijing-Tianjin High-speed train, which costs 59RMB. After 29 minutes, you will arrival at Tianjin Railway Station and we will pick you up there. Finally, you are here, Tianjin! Welcome!


a. Take airport line to Dongzhimen and transfer to Line 2 (To Xuanwumen). b. After getting to Xuanwumen, please transfer to Line 4 and get off at the railway station. c. Sometimes the subway will be very crowded. It’s better to take a taxi at that time.

Things you should bring to China a. Some RMB (money in China) and bankcard. You should exchange enough money to RMB before you come to China. In the summer camp, you need at least 200 yuan a week. But you needn’t bring all the money. You can exchange in China. b. Your laptop. Laptop is required because you will use it to give class. The things you want


to share and show can be saved as well. c. Things against the high temperature. It’s about 30℃ to 40℃. Though there is air-condition indoor. You’d better take things against the sun and clothes in summer. Like T-shirt, shorts, cap, sunglasses, sunscreen cream (some can be bought in China). d. Others:  A pair of comfortable sneaker.  Camera if you like photography.  Some stuff from your country, which can be sent to the students on the class.

Cautions a.

There are lots of mosquitos and flies in school because of the high temperature.

There is no dress code for you when you are teaching the students.

c.

The tap water cannot be drunk in China. We have water fountains in the classroom and office.

Things you could prepare for the teaching a.

English songs. Please collect at least 12 English songs you like mostly. Write down the lyrics as a Word documents. The more the better.

b.

Your country culture. Anything about your country, your city, your university… Please do prepare some stories to tell, or pictures to show. Make your promotion interesting!

c.

Your personal story, wonderful experience, or anything you want to share.

d.

Activities! Activities that can lead students to experience teamwork, presentation, action, and creation.
