Ribbon cutting ceremonies Welcome to O’Fallon! Did you know that in last year’s municipal election only 12% of registered voters cast their ballot? I encourage you to do whatever you need to do to get out and vote on April 8th. In the City of O’Fallon we will be electing City Councilmen and voting on Propositions J & P. The St. Charles County Ambulance District is asking for their first rate increase in their 40 year existence, as well as electing a member to their Board of Directors. Also seeking Board members are all of our local school districts and the O’Fallon Fire Protection District. I’d like to take this opportunity to encourage you to do some research and vote for whom and what you think will move O’Fallon in the right direction. As our community continues to grow, it is immensely important that we have residents who are knowledgeable and engaged in the elections that affect our day to day lives.

The O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce and the City of O’Fallon are excited to welcome these new businesses to the community and to help them celebrate with a with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony.

O’Fallon Modern Dentistry 3009 Hwy K O’Fallon, MO 63368

As a reminder, your Chamber Board of Directors has voted in support of Propositions J & P for the City of O’Fallon. We believe that both of these propositions are important in order to sustain and improve the high quality of life that we have come to expect and the economic vitality of our community. To learn more and be prepared for the ballot box, visit the St. Charles County Election Authority at www.election.sccmo.org/election. 2014 in the O’Fallon Corporate Center, adjacent to Component Bar Product’s 75,000-square-foot facility. It is part of Pohlman’s desire to “give back to the community” and help young adults 18 to 28 who only have high school diplomas or GEDs to get the basic training needed to start a well-paying industrial job. The lack of skilled industrial workers is becoming more apparent as baby boomers retire without their ranks being replenished by the upcoming workforce. In response to that reality, the MMTTC offers hands-on, project-based learning that includes robotics, metallurgy, quality control, team work, and soft skills. Currently about 30 local businesses have agreed to partner with the MMTTC when it comes to internships, job placement, and continuing education. “This is an exciting new addition to O’Fallon’s high tech corridor in St. Charles County, and a great example of a successful entrepreneur willing to fill a niche that could make an important difference in the lives of local residents and local companies looking for skilled workers,” said Mike Hurlbert, Economic Development Director for the City of O’Fallon. “Component Bar Products has been a great business partner in O’Fallon, and now they are an even bigger pillar in the community, thanks to the new Midwest Machine Tool Training Center.”

Each month a different business in St. Charles County is selected for the Business Spotlight Award by the Economic Development Roundtable (EDR) based on criteria such as economic impact, entrepreneurial success, job growth, and civic involvement. The EDR is a standing committee of the Economic Development Center (EDC) of St. Charles County with the local cities, St. Charles County Government, and the St. Charles County Department of Workforce Development.
