The closest mountain to Queenstown, Coronet Peak is a 20-minute drive from the city. Dedicated learner and novice areas plus Night Skiing/First Tracks from July through September, provide skiing and boarding experiences for all abilities. Fantastic supervised kids programs ensure that kids who do want to ski, and kids who are too young or would prefer snowplay, don’t miss any of the fun on the mountain. Coronet Peak has a skiable area of 280 ha and free Day Lift Passes are offered to all kids 6 years and under. Treble Cone is the largest ski resort on the South Island and is the closest to Wanaka.
