STEP ONE: Choose a size and layout
Our Picture Flap design is entirely modular. You can have any number of rows and columns for your display. Each module is 12 inches by 12.125 inches (30.48 cm x 30.79 cm) and contains 20 flaps.
STEP TWO: Set up your Adobe Illustrator Template

ARTBOARD SETTINGS
Use your Oat Foundry provided Illustrator module template to build a digital version of your Picture Flap.
Every module requires at least: 3600 px by 3637 px.
IMAGE SELECTION
To get started, collect about 30-50 images to use across your 20 flaps.

FILE FORMATS
TIFF files are preferred. PNG will suffice as long as the resolution is high enough.
Our printing resolution is 300+ DPI. At a minimum, we require 160 DPI.

Full Spread
One full image across all modules.
Use all of your modules for highly detailed images, important images, and statement pieces.
Tiled
Divide your layout in segments (vertically or horizontally) to feature two or more images next to each other. This layout is perfect for comparing images, and mix-and-matching these prints once your sign is installed.
One at a Time
Put one image in each module.
This is ideal for highlighting a lot of projects, showing a large product line, or comparing similar imagery.
PRO TIP: Use your grid to check the bezel
Keep in mind that some areas of the image will be lost to the bezel between the modules. Use your Picture Flap grid in Illustrator to help format accordingly.
STEP THREE: Approvals
SUBMIT ART FILES
Send Oat Foundry the 20 image files you would like to print. Do not include bleed.
Do not include the black outlines of the modules on your images.
Make sure each file is: 160+ DPI, TIFF or PNG, and the dimensions of your overall Picture Flap (based on rows and columns of modules).
SLICING
Our team will divide up the art files for printing. Sections of each image file are printed on different flaps for each module, double sided.
APPROVALS
Oat Foundry will send you at least one round of renders of your prints to approve. Once you sign off, we will begin the printing process.
