FEATURED PROGRAMS AND EVENTS Friends of the Library Big Book Sale The Friends of the North Vancouver District Public Library are hosting another one of their legendary book sales this October. At this sale you’ll find a huge variety of books and audio visual materials at bargain prices ranging from 50 cents to $2. On Sunday, everything is half price! Plus, on Sunday, you can get a bag of books for $3, or a box for $6! Location

Celebrate Accessibility @ Your Library Wednesday, October 26, 2:00pm - 4:30pm Lynn Valley Main Library Join the Friends of the North Vancouver District Public Library for a fun event celebrating the recent accessibility improvements that have been made to all NVDPL branches. These improvements have been made thanks to a $73,353 grant the Friends of the Library received from the Government of Canada’s Enabling Accessibility Fund. NEW REGULAR DATE: Second Wednesday of each month, 7:00pm – 8:45pm Join us for vibrant street-level discussions moderated by Mark Battersby, PhD. The topic for October 12 is surrogates. Should a woman carry a baby for another? Should she supply an egg? What if the other woman is also the grandmother? No registration required. Introducing Just Ask! A Library Chat Service North Vancouver District Public Library and Public Library InterLINK are pleased to announce the launch of Just Ask!, an online chat service that library patrons can use to ask library questions and get answers. The chat service is available Monday to Thursday from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and on Fridays from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
