Modular wiring is most commonly used with modular fittings in recessed installations, but can be used with other fittings, such as the Michigan range of recessed circular downlights or the Monterey leD panel.
in some cases (eg 5 and 6-pole) there is more than one range of Wieland connectors, and these are not compatible with each other. to avoid confusion, and in accordance with accepted industry practice, we refer to the different connector systems by the colour of the mouldings. For each range of connectors there is a designated position, application and wiring colour for each pole, as follows. these conventions are followed on all modular wiring we supply that is ordered using the order codes and suffixes detailed on these pages.
We offer 3, 4, 5 and 6-pole modular wiring options, all based on the industry-standard Wieland gst18 range of connectors (or an interchangeable equivalent by another european manufacturer).
