Sunny Side Spirits The Sunny Side has some truly “spirited” locations to visit that make your trip special. Huber’s Orchard, Winery and Vineyards Located in the rural community of Starlight, Huber’s Orchard, Winery and Vineyards is the older of the two local wineries and boasts some of the best wines in the region. One full wall of their tasting room holds awards won over the years. In addition to wines, Huber’s is the state’s only licensed distillery producing brandies from wines. Soon craft whiskies, vodkas and other spirits.
RIVER CITY WINERY Historic downtown New Albany is home to awardwinning winery, River City Winery, that combines the mastery of wine making and the creations of an executive chef. Wines have been selected for international awards and selected by locals as Readers’ Choice. Sample wines at wine tastings.
NEW ALBANIAN BREWing Company But wines aren’t the only spirited beverage that brings people to the area. The New Albanian Brewing Company operates two craft breweries in New Albany. The principal brewery is located just off Grant Line Road in New Albany. In 2009 the brewery expanded with the opening of the Bank Street Brewhouse in downtown New Albany. Both breweries offer a wide range of craft beers and food selections. The Public House off Grantline Road is in the same building as its sister restaurant, Sportstime Pizza and offers “pub grub” while the Bank Street Brewhouse offers a more elegant cuisine.
