GALLERY OF WORLD ARCHITECTURE

T

he Bund is a symbol of Shanghai, featuring a number of historical and contemporary buildings lining the Huangpu River. It is tough to imagine how people lived their lives right here a century ago. It maintains various architectural styles, such as Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, NeoClassical, Beaux-Arts, and Art Deco. Here is also a good photo-shooting spot because the buildings remain harmonious in color and style.

H

ere you will see how much Shanghai has changed. The tunnel amazes everybody that its interior wall is creatively decorated with color-changing LED lights. The 646.7-meter long Sightseeing Tunnel runs from the Bund at the end of Nanjing Road to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in Pudong. It is the first of its kind for pedestrians in China, accompanying a 6-sound-band acoustic system. How can you say you visit Shanghai if you miss this place?
