Man launches legal action over ‘eight-month erection’ A n erectile dysfunction sufferer is suing the surgeon he paid to fix the problem after he received a little more than he bargained for. Daniel Metzgar says the botched penile implant surgery he underwent in 2009 left him with an eight-month erection that wouldn’t go away, according to Delaware Online. The 44-year-old truck driver from New Jersey is seeking unspecified damages after he was forced to wear baggy trousers and long shirts to hide this embarrassing problem, a court heard. He said he knew something was wrong when his scrotum swelled to the size of a volleyball but didn’t see his surgeon, Dr Thomas Desperito, for another four months, it is claimed. Mr Metzgar finally went under the knife to have the prosthesis removed in August 2010, eight months after the initial surgery. ‘I could hardly dance, with an erection poking my partner,’ he told the court. ‘It’s not something you want to bring out at parties and show to friends.’ Mr Metzgar said his urologist demanded $10,000 (£6,400) before doing the procedure, a claim Desperito denies. The trial continues.

Dare you spend a night at London’s horror hotel??

The furnishings are a bit rustic to say the least

A spine-chilling overnight experience that will petrify even the most hardened of hotel-goers is being promised by a Holiday Inn in north London. It’s not the prospect of a 6am wake-up call or burned toast at breakfast that is proving so terrifying however, as the hotel is getting a horror-themed makeover. For the next four days, visitors are being challenged to spend a night in the Camden Lock hotel, if they dare. Promising ‘dreadful paranormal visitations’ and a ‘psychological fright fest’, the pop-up experiment is part of a stunt marking the DVD and Blu-ray release of horror film Mama, starring Nikolaj CosterWaldau and Jessica Chastain.

Vampire mother drinks two litres of blood each month to make her ‘healthier’ A mother-of-two has been likened to a vampire after she admitted drinking 2 litres of blood each month. Julia Caples, from Pennsylvania,US , is not your usual blood sucker having raised two children aged 9 and 24, and is also currently working as a care worker. But looks can be deceiving as the 45-year-old likes to partake in a bit of blood guzzling every four weeks as she thinks it keeps her in good shape. ‘When I feed off of a person and drink their blood I feel stronger and healthier,’ the Daily Mirror quotes her as saying. ‘I know scientifically there’s not a lot nutrition in blood, but maybe there’s some value we haven’t discovered yet. ‘I feel more beautiful than any other time when I’m regularly drinking. I’m also extremely healthy with no major health problems, and I have an abundance of energy all the time.’Ms Caples doesn’t stalk her victims, instead she finds willing donors from her local area and takes them to her home, where she cuts them open. The vampiress didn’t start drinking blood regularly until she met her ex-husband but said she had always been interested in trying it out.

Hairy tights aimed at deflecting unwanted attention WOMEN tired of men staring at their legs this summer can now deflect any unwanted attention with a pair of these hairy tights. The practical fashion item is proving a hit in China after an image of the garment was posted on the country’s version of Twitter. ‘Super sexy, summertime anti-pervert full-leg-of-hair stockings, essential for young girls going out,’ read an attached caption, according to Shanghai-based bloggers ChinaSMACK. Women about to splash out on a pair of the bushy stockings may want to think again however, with the legwear receiving a mixed response from the

public. ‘Damn, so disgusting!!!’ commented one user. ‘Essential for the subway?’ said another. However one user speculated the latest fashion fad could backfire: ‘This will not only prevent against perverts, it’ll definitely also result in preventing handsome guys from approaching you. ‘When things go to the extreme, they can only go the opposite direction!!!’ While the trend may be proving increasingly popular in China, it’s unlikely we will see the hairy stockings in UK high streets anytime in the near future.

‘The experience has been designed to trigger a physical and emotional release known as the “fight or flight” response,’ said Gary Oke, practising psychotherapist and senior show producer for AtmosFEAR! Scare Entertainment. ‘When this response is activated, sequences of nerve cell firings occur, and chemicals like adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol are released into our bloodstream.’ He added: ’These patterns of nerve cell firings and chemical releases cause our body to undergo a series of very dramatic changes, such as an increase in heart rate.’ Tasneeem Buitendijk, the hotel’s general manager said: ‘We’re just hoping that we don’t make the visitors too scared to ever return.’
