As we celebrate the significant milestone of our fiftieth anniversary, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art was selected as the setting for our fall 2015 Art of Shopping campaign because of the extraordinary impact the museum has made on its regional community and also on the art world. The Story of Crystal Bridges Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art welcomes all to celebrate the American spirit in a setting that unites the power of art with the beauty of nature. Founded by the Walton Family Foundation and designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie, Crystal Bridges first opened its doors on November 11, 2011. Nestled in a ravine on 120 acres of land just outside of Bentonville, Arkansas, the campus celebrates the spirit of the Ozarks and embraces the natural beauty of the area — incorporating materials, colors and motifs that seem to have been cultivated from the land itself. The Crystal Bridges collection spans five centuries of American art, featuring masterworks by artists from Colonial times through today.
