I’m thrilled by our packed programme of new and classic theatre, dance, storytelling and comedy, and I hope you will be too. We have invited a raft of remarkable and acclaimed theatre makers to bring their work to Newcastle this season; from Matthew Dunster’s elegant re-imagining of the classic THE Sacred Flame, to Wayne McGregor’s astonishing FAR and Mike Bartlett’s daring, contemporary Medea, we offer you theatrical experiences to put a tingle down your spine. Then there are roles in the company for other career paths too.

Alive After Five
Northern Stage, Barras Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 7RH. Two minutes’ walk from Haymarket Metro, opposite the Civic Centre, behind the Newcastle University building (King’s Gate). King’s Road is now pedestrianised.
Newcastle city centre is now open later. Nip to the shops after work, join us for dinner at McKenna’s and then enjoy a show. With more evening buses and Metros and lots of free city centre parking after 5pm, it’s never been easier to make a night of it.
PARKING There is no public parking on Newcastle University campus. The nearest car park is on Claremont Road (near the main entrance to Exhibition Park) or the Civic Centre car park after 6pm (entrance via Sandyford Road). Council-owned City Centre car parks are now free after 5pm.

Tickets can be exchanged at least 2 hours before a performance but can only be swapped for a different performance of the same show.

SCHOOLS & YOUTH GROUPS We offer tickets for £9 in Stage 1 and £6 in Stage 2 for schools and youth groups (groups of under 16s) attending in parties of 10+, plus one free organiser ticket for every 10 children.
