o m e to lc e w NORTH CENTRAL COLLEGE Thank you for joining us for the North Central College Fine & Performing Arts 2021-2022 season! We couldn’t be more excited to be able to share these incredibly talented artists with you, live and in person. We are in a unique and challenging time, but it is a joy to share fine arts events together once more. We kicked off the season in November with Plain White T’s and Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael. Our Home for the Holidays series featured the Holiday Jazz Concert, Jim Brickman: The Gift of Christmas, and MICHAEL BOLTON, Greatest Hits & Holiday Favorites. January offers even more excitement with Jim Peterik’s World Stage and Chicago Sinfonietta’s “Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute Concert: Joie de Vivre.” In February, join us for “My Funny Valentine” with Pat Hazel and Karen Morgan, TheaterWorksUSA’s “Dog Man: The Musical”, and Take 6. In March, we welcome Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy and Marianne Murphy Orland’s “Rags to Rhinestones: The Musical Life

of Dolly Parton”. We close out the season with TheaterWorksUSA’s “Rosie Revere, Engineer & Friends”, Kurt Elling, Laura Freeman’s “Backstage Pass” and The Four C Notes. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to our season sponsors and Friends of the Arts donors—thank you for your generous support this season. We would not be able to bring you these wonderful events and continue working toward future seasons without your generous contributions. And to you, our loyal audience: thank you for your continued support and patronage. We hope you enjoy a performance or two! Without further ado, on with the show! Sincerely,

Jennifer Berosek Coordinator of Fine Arts

JIM PETERIK’S WORLD STAGE January 15, 2022, Pfeiffer Hall

BIO GRAPH y Jim Peterik’s career has spanned five decades as a consummate composer and performer. Peterik has been responsible for many unforgettable songs that have sold millions of albums worldwide and garnered numerous awards, including Grammy and Oscar nominations. As a founding member of Survivor, Peterik and the group’s songs “Eye of the Tiger” and “The Search Is Over” have become modern classics and instantly recognizable. This is the 17th consecutive year Peterik will mount his now legendary World Stage shows. Peterik will once again bring this event to North Central College, and it promises to be another powerhouse of hit songs, virtuoso playing, stunning vocals and unexpected twists and turns. World Stage began as a CD of Peterik exploring new styles of music, written and sung with some of his friends and colleagues. The template was cast by having Peterik and his guests perform their collaborations, along with their own hits in front of Peterik’s handpicked band, featuring the hottest and most versatile musicians he could find. The celebrity lineup for this show will feature a premiere performance by Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad fame, Dave Bickler who sang Survivor’s greatest hit “Eye of the Tiger”, Colin Peterik, Toby Hitchcock, the Ides of March, and 2 surprise artists.
