The objective is to buy cheap and sell expensive without shaking your hand. Inside information allows you to act before others, and as a boardmember you will recieve big bonuses if the share value gets high enough. If you make more money than your opponents you win.

A speculator: A participant

A majority shareholder: The speculator who has the most shares in a company.

There can be only one majority shareholder in each company.

It is only when a participant acquire more shares than the existing majority shareholder, that the title is passed on.

If a majority shareholder sells his/her shares, the title is passed on to the one with the most shares after the sale.

By equality, it is the former majority shareholder that determines who should be the new majority shareholder.

In real life a majority shareholder owns more than 50% of all shares in a company, but in this game you just have to have more shares than the other speculants.

Setup The company gameboards are placed on the table.

The number of companies is determined by the number of speculators in the game: 2 speculators = 3 companies 3 speculators = 4 companies 4 speculators = 5 companies 1. The players set the initial share value on each company by stacking three blocks on each. Set the share value token on the corresponding field on each company. (5 is the initial share value).

2. Each player receives 35 in cash tokens.

3. Each card has a company logo on it. Discard all cards with companies that are not in play. Sort the remaining cards of each type (insider tip etc.). Then shuffle each pile and give one from each pile to all players so that all players have three cards each.

4. Agree on a time limit. For example. 0:45. Use a stopwatch if needed.

5. Choose a starting player at random and place the die in front of that player.

Playing the game Players take alternate turns in clockwise order. Each speculator will execute the following phases: 1. Share value development: Each company is marked with a number from 1 to 6. Roll the die and see which company should have added one more block to its stock value. If the company is not in play OR if no player has any shares in the company OR the stockvalue can’t get higher - ignore this step. The block is stacked on top by the majority share holder.

2. Sell OR buy: Sell: The speculator can now choose to sell ALL his shares in ONE company. The price is found by multiplying the share value with the number of shares sold. The speculator removes the shares from the company game board and receives cash tokens.

ALL players can use cards with the right company logo now: Insider Tip: Other speculators can use an insider tip and sell all their stocks in this company at the same price.

Golden Handshakes: Speculators can use a golden handshake and receive a payment equal to the value of one share.

Fraud Squad: The share price is decreased by one block before anyone sells.

New Majority shareholder? Move the majority shareholder token if needed.

Price drop: If other players still have shares in the company let the majority shareholder remove one block from the stack. If no other player has any shares left in the company all blocks are removed and three new blocks are stacked.

Buy: The speculator can purchase up to two shares. They can be from the same company or from two different companies. The share price is based on the number of blocks in the stack. The speculator puts the purchased shares on his color field on the company and pays with cash tokens.

Majority shareholder: Move the majority shareholder token if the speculator now has the largest number of shares in the bank.

Share value increase: The majority shareholder adds ONE block to each stack that the speculator bought shares from. Ignore this step, if there are already eight blocks in the stack.

3. New starting player: Move the die clockwise to the next player.

How to stack blocks Blocks are stacked one by one by the use of one hand and it is only allowed to touch the block that you add or remove.

After a majority shareholder removes or add a block to the stack, he moves the share value token with the same hand that the block was moved with. If the stack falls before the share value token is moved, the share value falls immediately according to the number of blocks left in the stack.

There is always at least one block left in a stack.

If a stack falls after the majority shareholder has moved the share value token, it is considered an accident by chance. The pile is stacked back to the same height as before by the majority shareholder.

Cards

How to win

The game features three types of cards. Insider tips, golden handshakes an fraud squad. At the start of the game all speculators draw one card of each type and keep them secret until used. When you have used a card you must pass it on to another player of your choice.

When the time limit is reached all shares are sold immediately (Share values are not adjusted during this process). The speculator with the most money wins. Insider tips and golden handshakes are discarded.

Insider tip Each card is valid only for a particular company. An insider tip may be used to sell an unlimited number of shares from the same company, as another speculator just sold from, and at the same price.

FAQ Can you use an insidertip in a company that you are a board member of?

Golden handshake = 1x

Each card is valid only for a particular company. The card indicates that you are a board member in the company. When someone sells shares from that company you can resign as board member by using the card. You receive thereby a reimbursement compensation equivalent to the value of ONE SHARE. It is ok to resign even when you sell your own shares from that company.

Multiple �Golden handshakes� to the same company can be used at the same time.

This reflects that you are chairman of the board and is entitled to a greater compensation.
