By Judy Adair In his sixth season as head coach, Joe Cooper is counting on a strong group of seniors to lead his team this year. Nate Fender, Grady Killpack, Ethan Pitt and Dominic Snyder will be the seniors in that role. “We have a well rounded team and have potential in all areas,” Cooper said. “It’s a very tough conference and district, but I’d like to finish in the top four.” It has been the trend over the last few years to have one or two state qualifiers. One of the goals for this group of tricksters is to better that. Coach Cooper has all events filled this year except the long jump. Early indications are sprints should be strong this year. Returning lettermen to the team are: Seniors, Nate Fender, Grady Killpack and Ethan Pitt; Juniors, Paul Hutson, Ellis Johnson, Nick Knudsen, Caden McDonald and Logan Melby. Rounding out the rest of the team is Juniors: James Branstetter, Austin Ettleman, John Thiele and Adam Thompson; Sophomores, Danny Adair, Nick Edney, Brett Greenwood, Owen
