eana and Joe met through a mutual friend who was also the bass guitarist in Joe’s band, Vedas. Jeana would make appearances at the band’s performances to show her support for her friend, and eventually a spark ignited between Jeana and Joe. Jeana played hard to get and it took Joe some time to figure out if Jeana was even interested in him. He eventually asked her out to dinner. Jeana then invited Joe out to celebrate her birthday. That night, they shared their first kiss. Exactly two years later, on Jeana’s birthday, Joe proposed. After picnicking all day at Audubon Park, Joe took a walk with Jeana and her dog, Charlie. It was then, by a fountain, that Joe dropped to one knee and asked Jeana to be his wife. Deciding on a wedding date was a little tricky due to Joe’s busy work schedule. Joe is co-owner of Studio Vieux Carre, one of the premier wedding video studios in New Orleans. He also owns Second Line Films, another wedding videography company. During

hurricane season, the wedding industry in New Orleans tends to slow down, so that seemed the best time to schedule it. They decided on September 24, 2011. Jeana and Joe chose Atelier NOLA for their engagement photos. Their invitations were handmade and assembled by Jeana using a vintage typewriter theme. The ceremony and reception were held at the same venue, which was conveniently located downtown and close to their guests’ accommodations. Jeana’s dad, the Reverend Scott Crosby, officiated the ceremony. The overall theme of the wedding was vintage inspired. Jeana’s dress was an ivory pleated, silk organza, trumpet gown. It had an Alencon lace bodice with a sweetheart neckline (also in lace), and a petal accent on one shoulder. It also had a sheer net, trumpet skirt with lace applique and pleated, organza tiers. It was completed with a chapel train. The bridesmaids’ dresses were simple, pale yellow, strapless dresses.
