asked her to be his wife. Shannon says, “I didn’t say anything for a moment, I was so in shock. He prompted me to answer, and I came back to reality and replied, ‘Yes, yes, yes!’” Shannon and Kevin were wed at St. Patrick’s Church. They went for a traditional, preppy style to their wedding with a hint of 50’s vintage. They even had a friends’ ’57 Chevy Bel Aire for part of their transportation. Their colors were navy with several shades of pink. The groom’s cake was an exact replica of The Bulldog Bar, the place that they met. Shannon’s dress was purchased from Pearl’s Place. She recalls, “It was our first day out shopping for my gown and decided to stop in to see if they weren’t too busy. There was no wait and my consultant was very helpful. I tried on a few dresses but knew I had found the one when I burst into tears and exclaimed, ‘He’s going to love it?’”

Focus on your marriage and less on the wedding. If at the end of the day you are married to the love of your life, then everything went perfectly according to plan!
They chose Eau Claire Photographics to capture the event. Shannon says, “I interviewed quite a few photographers. I was immediately drawn to Sandra’s work. I describe her style as effortless and timeless, although I know what she does is hardly effortless. I wanted very few posed photographs and wanted things to be captured in an organic, un-messed with way. Her usage of light and sense of timing are incredible. I get so many compliments on both my bridal photos and wedding photos. I know that in 50 years my photos will still be “in style” and that was very important to me when choosing a photographer. Sandra gave me absolutely everything I wanted and nothing that I didn’t!” [ JUNE 11, 2011 ] Alert Transportation provided the limos. Shannon and Kevin were pleased with their experience with Alert. The limos arrived ahead of schedule. The drivers were fun, very courteous and extremely accommodating, especially with the last minute addition of another car.
