THE NEWSLETTER OF BCBP NAVAL (BILIRAN) OUTREACH

JULY-SEPTEMBER 2010

BCBP Naval Outreach celebrates 9th Anniversary By: Sis. Nanette Garin-Pla

The Third Sunday of July 2010 was a special day for the BCBP Naval Outreach members who joined in simple thanksgiving for the 9 fruitful years of service and ministry work. The celebration started with a thanksgiving mass at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cathedral. The male members proceeded to Redstone Ville Resto for the Men’s breakfast and the rest of the members joined them before lunch. It was a whole day fun and fellowship with videoke and games. In his short talk, Outreach Head Bro. John Pastor expressed his concern about the inactive BCBP members in Naval, and the challenge to bring them back as well as, in strengthening the commitment of the active members. He stressed that Naval Outreach is already old enough to become a Chapter. He presented some of the planned activities for 2010 especially the BCMR No. 3 which will be held in Ormoc on NovemSee 9th Anniversary, p. 8

BCBP Naval to hold BCMR 3 in Ormoc In order to build strong family and married life among the couple members, the BCBP Naval Outreach will hold the Brotherhood Christian Marriage Retreat (BCMR) No. 3 on November 5-7, 2010 at the Divine Mercy Retreat House in Ormoc City.

Joint breakfast fellowship in Caibiran By: Bro. Noel B. Pla

The BCBP Naval Outreach will conduct joint breakfast fellowship in Caibiran to cater businessmen and professionals working or doing business in the other side of the province of Biliran. It will be held at the Parish Hall of St. James the Apostle starting November 2010. Caibiran is the second biggest municipality in the Province of Biliran and is located at the opposite

side of the island, about 40 minutes ride from Naval via the Crosscountry road. Invitation cards were already sent to prospective businessmen and professionals through Fr. Benjie Pantas, the Parish Priest of Caibiran, and Hon. Lorna Ferguson, a fellow Breakfaster and SB Member in this municipality. See Breakfast fellowship... p. 9

According to Bro. Licio and Sis. Dolor Salas, BCMR #3 Course Director, this weekend retreat will revitalize their marriage vows with new insights, and enliven the life they shared together. “Through the BCMR the couple will discover more clearly and intimately God’s plan for them. It will surely strengthen their bond as a Christian family.” they added. The BCMR will be participated by 10 BCBP couples from Naval. Speakers were invited from BCBP Tacloban and Ormoc Chapters..

Serving the Lord through BCBP Choir BCBP has five special ministries which include the music ministry as one of its important ministries. Part of the music ministry of the BCBP Naval Outreach is the Choir. It is

composed of 25 BCBP members dedicated to serving God through their talent in singing. The BCBP Choir sings every second Sunday of the month, 6:30A.M. Mass at the

New “Be Honest” billboard installed As part of its campaign on promoting the value of honesty, the BCBP Naval Outreach erected a new “Be Honest” billboard in front of the Naval Gymnasium along the busy P. Inocentes Street in Naval, the capital and commercial center of the Province of Biliran. The billboard which is made of steel and GI sheet with size 5 x 8 ft. bears the familiar message: “Be Honest, Even if others are not, Even if others will not, Even if others cannot” in bold letters. It is the latest of the 8 Be Honest billboards installed by BCBP Naval in the different strategic locations in the province. The BCBP “Be Honest” advocacy was manifested by putting up billboards, posters, streamers, car stickers, t-shirts and other materials bearing the familiar program’s message.

BCBP Naval also sponsored a “Be Honest” Oratorical Competition participated by the different Secondary Schools in the Department of Education, Division of Biliran.

Nova Jorge, accompanied by its organist Sis. Merly Castro and guitarist Bro. Bebe Docallos. The group likewise attributes their musical aptitude to Fr. Tony Sevilla as their trainer who does the fine-tuning of voices especially if they are requested to sing for special occasions in the Diocese of Naval. “Music is one of the many superb ways we do in expressing ourselves to God and in praising Him,” says Sis. Lotlot Villagonzalo, the Music Ministry Head. Recently, the Music Ministry procured a state-of-the-art Roland organ and sound system to enhance their music. "There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all people. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good." (1st Corinthians 12:4-7.)

We are one family, the BCBP By: Bro. Boboy Montejo July 26, 2002 marked a turning point in the lives of meaningful and active men and women of BCBP Naval. It was the day the first breakfast fellowship was held in Naval thus, paving the way for the establishment of another religious organization in the Diocese of Naval. What keep us going? What is the bond that holds us together? Why are we looking forward to celebrating that day? We are a community of business people and professionals committed to living out Christian values and being change agents in the marketplace. We aim to win the marketplace for Christ. We believed the Lord Jesus called us together to be in the BCBP and He himself gave the marching orders.

By far, 6 Brotherhood Christian Life Programs (BCLP), 2 Brotherhood Christian Marriage Retreat(BCMR) , 1 Brotherhood Christian Business Retreat (BCBR) and 1 Market Evangelization Program (MEP) were conducted aside from attendance to the regular BCBP activities: First Friday Mass, General Assembly, Teaching Night, Action Group Prayer Meeting and of course, the Breakfast Fellowship - the entry point of becoming a BCBP member. Formation Program One of the 3 major Directorates of BCBP is the FORMATION OR LIFE DIRECTORATE. The BCBP Formation is a consistent process by which a member undergoes a process of reorientation,

Come, have breakfast By: Bro. Aldrin and Sis. Joy Caing Like myself, all of you will not be here if it were not for the breakfast, isn’t it? Many of you I’m sure, run out of alibis just to refuse the invitation of attending the BCBP breakfast. But God has His way of touching us, just so we’ll be able to say yes to the first breakfast invitation and unknowingly we begin to commit ourselves into it and gradually embrace the BCBP way of life. The highlight of this breakfast is the “sharing” by our invited brothers and sisters may it be a single or couple sharers. In here, testimonies are made on how the Lord has touched their lives. Every sharing is a revelation of God’s glory, great love and mercy to mankind and it has touched me a lot. Regular members are encouraged to invite new breakfasters and sponsor the first breakfast of their recruits as well. It is made as a responsibility of regular BCBP members to follow up their recruits so that they could complete the required 4 breakfasts for them to become

regular breakfasters, and eventually complete the series of BCLP talks to become a BCBP member. Breakfast Fellowship is the entry point to the BCBP community. For us regular members, to successfully invite others to join the breakfast and our community is a great challenge for us not only to make our community grow but also help others realize what a Great and Glorious God we have.

of CONVERSION, COMMITMENT and COMMISIONING - a process which in order to be effective, moves from Head to Heart and ends up in the will, the seat of decision and desire. The formation Program has the following features: 1. The Formation focuses on the inner dynamics of the person's identity and growth. Formation is a process. Because of this process, the person is inner directed, interiorly reliable and dependable. 2. The program includes traditions in the BCBP which shall be placed in written form. 3.) Following the evangelization strategy of Jesus Christ with the first apostles, the program focuses on the role of all Action Group Leaders to serve primarily by example and lead others to serve also by example. 4.) Making use of existing and new teaching tracks of the BCBP which focuses on transforming the movement of the message from the Head to the Heart, to the will. 5.) The program makes use of retreat as a means of deepening relationship with God, as a time of discernment and as a time of personal encounters with the Almighty. 6.) Integration of Family Teachings to the BCBP Way of Life and schedules without conflicts. 7.) Programs are on-going. It takes years for traits to become habit then Character. 8.) The Formation Program is a process of building blocks. There is consistency of application irrespective of the changes in the persons of the Chapter Head and the Chapter Formation Director. OUR MISSION

BRO. JOHN PASTOR

Why Lamdag? “LAMDAG” is the visayan word for light. As a light it must not be hidden. As in the gospel of St. Luke 11-33, it says “No one lights a lamp and hide it, rather he puts it on a lamp stand, so that people coming may see it………..”. “LAMDAG”, as the name of the BCBP Newsletter serves as our outlet of information of the different activities, programs and plans of the BCBP, so that members and nonmembers of the community be informed of what is going on in the community. It is also here where BCBP members could share their light to others, particularly to those who are always busy, through their experiences, testimonies and spread the words of God in various small ways. It is our hope to keep the light burning all the time like a lighthouse guiding ships away from danger, “LAMDAG” intends to guide us all to become Christians in thoughts, words and in deeds. Welcome to our first issue of “LAMDAG”.

OUR VISION Bringing Christ into the marketplace and winning the marketplace for Christ.

We are a community of business people and professionals committed to living out Christian values and being change agents in the marketplace. We accomplish this through a process of on on--going personal conversion, a commitment to professional excellence, community and nation building, practice of justice and integrity, and responsible care for all entrusted to us.

The BCBP Vision and Mission Explained From www.bcbp-phil.com

The BCBP has a goal, a vision and mission that every member of the BCBP makes his or her own and that he lives for and works for. What makes our BCBP vision and mission so exciting is that we believe the Lord Jesus called us together to be the BCBP and he himself gave us our vision and mission, i.e. our marching orders. With this in mind we want to take a close look at our vision and mission. Our vision has two parts, the first part focuses on evangelization. This part of our vision we try to accomplish by evangelizing businessmen and women and professionals, who are young and are on the way up, but who already occupy positions of responsibility in their companies. We evangelize through our breakfasts, the BCLP, and our basic formation program, which includes providing for new people competent and generous Action Group Leaders. The Lord has given us a specific way of life and mission. Our mission determines the structure of our community, the formation new members

receive, and the way we live for the Lord and one another. Our mission to bring Christ into the marketplace and to win the marketplace for Christ also determines the type of people we want to win for Christ, namely those who can together with us transform the marketplace and the professions into an environment where Christ’s values flourish and where all stakeholders benefit. We are called to reach out to upand-coming business executives, who are still young and energetic, still open to be formed and not so set in their ways, leaders with young families, men and women who can take on the mind of Christ, make the vision and mission of the BCBP their own and stand shoulder to shoulder with us as we do the work the Lord has called us to. Bringing Christ into the marketplace and winning the marketplace for Christ … as Individuals … in the BCBP community … into the marketplace … and the nation … and onwards. This is the Vision and Mission of the BCBP.

REFLECTIONS

Being Attuned With The Almighty By: Sis. Diana Bernardes-Chawdhury Living in this world now has become a big challenge and a constant trial. Every man now has to decipher a huge volume of information, exposed to so many different cultures, understand and comprehend too many school of thoughts and decide too many choices before one could reach the tenet of his lifestyle or undertaking. It is no wonder that at the end of the day, a lot of “unfinished business” is faced by everyone. More often than not, if this concerns are ever done, it may either be plainly of mediocre quality if it is a product or an unfulfilling or unsatisfying outcome if it is a particular concern. Worse, some situations end up a huge mess that results in the death of people or the destruction of properties. This is a scenario that working in a hospital must avoid. As the Supervising Administrative Officer of the only hospital in the Province of Biliran, I see such situations happening probably not in a very catastrophic ending but to near mishaps that could have been avoided if only the people involved are in that level of understanding and care that the Lord demands in this world. Sad to say, only a few see our lives in the context of God being the ultimate guide and judge in one’s everyday conduct and behavior. If I were to say, I would liken living in this world as a member of a big orchestra with God being the conductor. As a member of that orchestra, I would have already known what part I play and by listening to Him who knows the whole dynamics of the music I would be able to contribute to the outcome of the piece. God’s nature would only want the best in the music that that orchestra would be playing, therefore, He would want all who contribute to that piece be attuned to Him. However, the reality in this world is so discordant, plainly because so many of God’s children or members of his huge orchestra is listening to different tunes. In fact many have fashioned their own music so that the whole tune of the universe has become dissonated. Some wants to play in isolation, some others play to the tune of pseudo masters whose only desire is to play god as well and effecting a cacophony of voices and causing a huge disruption of God’s melodic intentions. Doing these therefore has gone against the grain of the universal harmony so that it is not surprising to

Choosing God and money

see stories of blotched up hostage taking negotiations or in my sphere of work, error in medication. What if all of us consciously, deliberately and heartedly submit ourselves to just one Authority and Conductor and play our tunes according to His will? The notes have been given a long time ago, we were given a very long time to study the piece, and much more we were allowed to listen, watch and enjoy the beauty of that Universal Sound. Why can’t we sing along in that Divine Orchestra so that every step that we take and every moment that we make are all in cadence with God’s Time? I believe that if we do this, the turn of this world will be attuned to the shaping of a Divine Play that only God can direct and that of a Universe where no one sings sad songs and no one hums the pain of the oppressed and the enslaved. By then there will not even be a hostage taking to happen nor tourists being afraid to come to our soils or patients dying due to insufficient care. Of course it takes time to practice to be fully attuned to God’s perfection. Fortunately, He has all the patience in this world. He probably has a millennium of years to fine-tune this. But unfortunately for us, we only have a short privilege to be part of that Divine Orchestra. Would you blotch up this chance or try your best to be a wonderful part of this Universal Challenge? We can easily be dismissed as a discordant piece or greatly promoted as an essential part of the whole rhythm and harmony of God’s Concerto. Come to think of it.

Between God and money, which will you choose to love? God, of course! But it does not mean that we have to despise money or discontinue earning it if we choose to love God. Money per se is not evil. God is so good, He blessed us with money to meet the necessities of life. The Bible does warn, however, that it is the love of money that creates evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Money is neither good nor bad: it is merely a medium of exchange. It is the misuse and abuse of money that cause the problem. We can still love God even if we are rich, so long as we use our money wisely and productively for His glory and the common good. Give 10% to the Church. We can use money as a medium to reciprocate God’s love for us by giving to the Church through tithing. As Christians we ought to set aside a “tenth” of our income for God. Note that tithing is not only about percentage, but it has more to do with one's heart during the act of giving than the actual amount we give, as in the case of the poor widow who only put in very small copper coins (Luke 21:1-4). But God viewed her trivial amount with more regard than the large offerings of the rich. Why? By giving all she had, the woman showed utter devotion to God. She was willing to offer everything she possessed to show love to God. In addition, God wanted us to use our money to show our love for our neighbors, sharing the blessings that we received from Him. WHAT SHOULD BE OUR RESPONSE TO REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH BILL 5043? By BRO. BOBBY ATENDIDO BCBP Board of Trustees Chairman

Reprinted from www.bcbp-phil.com Together with Bro. Joey and Lulu Avellana and other BCBP brothers and sisters, I attended a forum on the “The Reproductive Health Bill No. 5043” the other night held in St. James Church, Ayala Alabang Village. It is a much talked about piece of legislation that our politicians in Congress are expected to pass into law and will be foisted on all Filipinos, totally unaware of its full implications, unless we take courageous steps to prevent its passage. In order to educate ourselves on what the RH Bill was all about, we listened to several presentations made on the subject. My personal conclusion is that this RH Bill is insidious and evil that all of us must unequivocally and vehemently oppose. I wish to share and quote some of the points raised during the Forum that I believe will clearly show that this proposed legislation is the work of the evil one who aims to create strongholds that will destroy the family, the basic unit of any society. A summary of the objections against the Bill is as follows: 1. EMPLOYERS will be compelled to provide free reproductive health care services, supplies, devices and surgical procedures (including vasectomy and ligation) to employees. (Section 17 states that the employers shall provide for free delivery of reproductive health care services, supplies and devices to all workers more particularly women workers. (Definition of Reproductive Health and Rights Section 4, paragraph g, Section 21, Paragraph c and Section 22 on Penalties) This implies that an employer who fails to provide for free, say a condom, to his driver when requested, can be hauled to court for violating the provisions of the Bill. This absurd example can be extended to the office where the owner of the business can be liable for violations if he does not provide contraceptives to his female employees if such are requested.

2. HEALTH CARE SERVICES PROVIDERS must provide reproductive health care services such as giving information on family planning methods and providing services like ligation and vasectomy, regardless of the patient’s civil status, gender, religion or age/minors included. (Section 21 on Prohibited Acts, Letter a, Paragraphs 1 to 5 and Section 22 on Penalties)

penal sanctions for those who will oppose the content of such a sex education.

3. A SPOUSE does not need the consent of the husband or wife to undergo a ligation or vasectomy procedure. ( Section 21 on Prohibited Acts, Letter a, Paragraph 2).

This dangerous provision threatens every Filipino who expresses anything against the law that is interpreted as “malicious disinformation” with imprisonment and/or fines. What is considered “malicious” has not been defined and therefore is open to a wide interpretation and will leave those who oppose the Bill very vulnerable.

The procedures of ligation or vasectomy are mandatorily made available to a spouse without partner consent. Such a provision is anti-Catholic since the procedures are clearly not allowed by the Catholic Church but will now be made accessible to whoever wants the procedure performed. 4. CHILDREN from age 10 to 17 will be taught their sexual rights and the means to have a satisfying and “safe” sex life as part of their school curriculum. Parents will no longer have any control over the sex education of their children. (Section 12 on Reproductive Health Education and Section 4 Definition of Family Planning and Reproductive health, Paragraph b, c, and d) Sex education becomes a mandatory part of a school curriculum. This means that the oversight over the sex education of their children by parents is diminished since it is the school that will formulate and implement the program, the content of which will be dictated by State policies. The Bill proposes to teach children how to achieve satisfying and safe sex in life which is a distorted and unacceptable view of human sexuality. The problem is that any objection to the program can be considered as actions inimical to the Bill and therefore may be subject to

5. CITIZENS will be subjected to imprisonment and/or pay a fine, for expressing an opinion against any provision of this law, if such expression of opinion is interpreted as constituting “malicious disinformation” (Section 21 on Prohibited Acts, Paragraph f and Section 22 on Penalties).

6. PARENTS will lose parental authority over a minor child who was raped and found pregnant (Section 21, a, no.3). This is an unconstitutional provision that removes parental control over minor children and hands it over to the State. 7. CONTRACEPTIVES will be classified as “essential medicines” (Section 10). This means that the National Government will appropriate limited government funds to reproductive services instead of basic services (Section 23). As essential medicines, the government will fund the distribution of contraceptives in all public health centers and hospitals. Scarce government resources will be spent to purchase such supplies for distribution in health centers and government hospitals. Our Congress clearly has a distorted view of national priorities which should put poverty alleviation by generating employment opportunities for the citizenry, economic development, environmental protection and similar programs at the top of the national agenda rather than spending money for See RH Bill 5043, p. 7

JULY-SEPTEMBER 20102

RH Bill 5043... from p.6 contraceptives, for medical procedures such as ligation and vasectomy. Everybody should be made aware of the penal provisions imbedded in the Bill. It will subject those who violate the law with imprisonment and/or fine every time a citizen fails to comply with the law. It threatens each and every Citizen of the country to follow this Law when passed. What should each member of BCBP do? Several action items are suggested. First of all, each one should read the proposed RH Bill 5043 and be familiar with the provisions of the Bill. A copy of the entire bill can be downloaded from the internet. Just search for “Reproductive Health Bill 5043 in the Philippines” and the full text of the bill can be read or downloaded. Secondly, we as a community should voice out our strong objections to the proposed Bill by writing our Congressmen and Senators including publishing our opinion and views. For your information the only three Senators against the bill are Francis Pangilinan, Aquilino Pimentel, and Juan Miguel Zubiri. The 20 other Senators are pro RH Bill. In the House of Representatives, there are 147 pros and only 68 antis; among the party list representatives there are 21 pros and only 4 antis. Thirdly, we should form alliances and cooperation with other communities and NGO’s who are opposed to the Bill in order to create a greater impact and generate a momentum of opposition. Fourthly, we should all pray for divine intervention so that those who support the Bill will be enlightened and withdraw support. Lastly, let us also pray for our President who has already expressed her opposition to the Bill so that she will not waver in her conviction to veto the Bill if and when the Bill is passed by our Congress.

The response opposing this RH Bill No. 5043 is urgent. Let us pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to divinely deliver the Filipino nation from this evil.

WHY DO WE NEED ACTION GROUPS? www.bcbp-phil.com The BCBP Action Group is the smallest organization in the BCBP composed of 5-7 couples for married people and 5-7 individuals for singles. It is headed by an Action Group Leader. The Action Group (AG) is an environment established where members are supported in a mature Christian Life, oriented towards witessing and evangelization in the business milieu. The AG is an important means of support, formation and growth for all members. It is a venue where members are helped to place their life and service on the foundation of God’s Word and where God’s work in each member’s life can be shared with others. AG members support and encourage each other by being prayer partners and intercessors. Action Groups are one of the vital strengths of the BCBP. Why? In addition to the foregoing, here are ten more reasons. You may want to discuss them during your action group meeting, in one of your chapter assemblies or unit meetings to find out and evaluate how your action group measures up to these qualities. Strong action groups result in strong units, resulting in strong chapters, forming the foundation for a strong, dynamic BCBP. 1. Action groups (AGs) teach us how to pray. We learn from each other’s experiences in prayer even as we grow in prayer together. Matthew 18:19-20. Matthew 7:7-8. 2. Scripture reading and immersion in God’s Word give the members a firm anchor on which to build their Christian life. Experiential sharings on selected Bible verses help guide members in making moral decisions on the Way of Holiness that they tread along their journey of life. Reflect on 2 Timothy 3:16.

3. Strong fellowship bonds are developed in AGs. As in Ephesians 4:16, participation in AGs brings about not only our own growth but also that of the Brotherhood as a whole. We are built up in love as we regularly meet together and share our lives with each other. 4. Powerful blessings come to the group when everyone contributes their presence, their love, prayers, and sharings. And these blessings build us up. See 1 Corinthians 14:26. 5. Meeting in small groups on a regular basis encourages discipleship and is the initial step in answering the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:19 to make disciples of all men. To be able to reach out to others, we must first be able to make disciples of ourselves and our action group members. 6. In the action group meetings we receive encouragement even as we encourage each other to live out our lives as Christians, to be faithful to Him and to our BCBP commitment. We are able to rouse one another to love and good works. See Hebrews 10:24-25. 7. Action groups raise up leaders. The meetings provide practical, handson training for service and Christian leadership. Read 2 Timothy 2:2. 8. Action group meetings serve as a forum to encourage evangelism. We can learn from each other about how to evangelize our families, our neighbors, and our respective marketplaces. By our mini-sharings in AG meetings, we are practicing for sharing in the breakfasts and assemblies. With the support of our brothers and sisters in our action group, we can become more confident in fulfilling Jesus’ command in Mark 16:15-16. We can also share in His promise in Mark 16:20. See Action Group, p. 8

The children have also become increasingly involved in Works of Mercy activities, getting upclose the reality of life for the poor and the need for charity and compassion for the less advantage. BCBP has not only brought our children together, it has created special bonds among members. This is one of the most potent way of evangelizing our families, when children realized that their parents have made a firm commitment to make BCBP's vi-

9. Through the action group and the other BCBP activities we become active participants rather than just spectators in the great Christian renewal taking place in the Church today. 10. Action group meetings are held in the homes of its members, on a rotating basis. Thus, each home and family receives blessings through the prayers of the group; the children become acquainted with what their parents are doing in the BCBP so that they will be interested in joining the chapter’s Children and Youth activities. The bottom line is this: Strong action groups result in strong units, resulting in strong chapters, forming the foundation for a strong, dynamic BCBP.

These are the reasons why we are still in the community, sticking together, going strong and, looking forward to celebrating our local anniversary every July 26 and National Anniversary every April. GOD is indeed at work in our community and we do have something to look forward in the years ahead. So, come on brothers and sisters in the businessworld and in profession, come and join the BCBP!!!!

Participants of BCLP # 5 actively participated in the group discussion.

Choosing God and money Remember that the surplus money we have is not necessarily ours, but is actually given by God for the purpose of helping other people around us. We are simply channels of God’s blessings to others. And what will happen to us when we give of our money? The Bible says: A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his blessings with the poor (Proverbs 22:9). When one offers money to others, one receives wealth in

many other ways. Finally, God never allows money to satisfy our personal whims or desires. God does not expect His people to live in poverty, but He does not endorse lavishness. Surplus money is provided so that God's work can be funded and those in need can be helped. If the surplus is hoarded or wasted on lavishness rather than used for His plan and purpose, chances are the surplus will be removed forever.

Breakfast fellowship in Caibiran... from p. 1 The Caibiran Joint Breakfast for Men and Women is in addition to BCBP Naval’s regular Sunday Breakfast Fellowships held at Marvin’s Seaside Inn, Atipolo, Naval, Biliran every 2nd Sunday (Joint) and 4th Sunday (Men’s) of the month, from 7:30 – 9:30 am. The Breakfast Fellowship is the first step in getting to know more about the BCBP. Each breakfast features the personal testimony of a fellow businessman or professional who shares about how he has been able to bring Christ and Christian values into the marketplace, and the victories that have resulted from his personal relationship with Jesus. According to Bro. Boboy Montejo of the Governance team, BCBP Naval Outreach has so far held 180 Breakfast Fellowships in Naval since its first Breakfast in July 25, 2001, and has changed the lives of so many businessmen and professionals in the area. “The BCBP Breakfast is a place to experience warm, relaxed ambience and enjoy growing friendships with other businessmen and professionals with the Lord over a cup of coffee and a delicious breakfast, ” says Bro. Bernard Pastor, the Breakfast Manager of Naval Outreach. “The food and personal testimonies of those who share their life with the Lord truly satisfies one’s hunger, both physical and spiritual,” Bro. Bernard added. The Breakfast Fellowship do not only inspires the new breakfasters, but also old BCBP members as experienced by Bro. Meljohn Jorge, a graduate of BCLP No. 5. “Every breakfast sharing is unique which touches and strengthens my commitment to God through the BCBP,” he said.
