Ela encontra também, nos bilhões de celulares, praticantes incansáveis que a tornam mais dinâmica que nunca. Espaços expositivos estão agora mais próximos e já não causam tanto estranhamento. Nunca se produziu, expôs e se vendeu tanta fotografia. E nesse intenso panorama, imagens antes classificadas como documentais ganham roupagem poética. O mundo tátil virou substância pra abstração e releituras de conceitos complexos.
It is also found in the billions of cell phones, tireless practitioners who make it more dynamic than ever. Exhibition spaces are now closer and no longer cause so much strangeness. Never has been produced, exhibited and sold so much photography. And in this intense panorama, images before classified as documentary now gain poetic drapery. The tactile world became substance to abstraction and rereading of complex concepts.

A ND foi buscar no impressionante acervo do FIF, Festival Internacional de Fotografia, parte do conteúdo que compõe essa edição. Compartilhando esse espaço com artistas de 19 nacionalidades, estão jovens brasileiros pulsantes, que percorreram Belo Horizonte, essa grande cidade pequena, em busca de matéria-prima para suas obras.
ND went to get in the impressive collection of FIF, International Festival of Photography, some of the content that makes up this issue. Sharing the space with artists from 19 countries, there are pulsating young people, who travelled over Belo Horizonte, this great little city, in search of raw material for their works.

Abandoned spaces, in decomposition or demolition are reflections of the intense urban transformations. This essay seeks to find in these spaces the values lost in time, rescuing a relationship with the inhabitant, in his absence or presence. It identifies remains of human occupation and daily activities that one day filled that place. It proposes a relationship between the body and the environment and establishes the body’s own recognition leading to a reflection that is individual and personal as well as spatial. It suggests putting the feet on the ground, feeling the Earth, to look within, take a deep breath and realize that the world around is a reflection of what’s inside, rescuing, with this, the essence of life that flows eternally, even in situations of abandonment.
transformações urbanas. Este ensaio busca encontrar nestes territórios valores perdidos no tempo, resgatando uma relação com o habitante, em sua ausência ou presença. Identifica resquícios de ocupação humana e atividades cotidianas que um dia preencheram aquele lugar. Propõe uma relação entre o corpo e o ambiente e estabelece um reconhecimento do próprio corpo, levando a uma reflexão tanto individual quanto espacial. Sugere colocar o pé no chão, sentir a terra, olhar para dentro de si, respirar fundo e perceber que o mundo ao redor é um reflexo do interior, resgatando a essência da vida que brota eternamente, mesmo em situações de abandono.

My research proposal is the documentation of a phenomenon that has become common among the street population in several cities: the exchange of manufactured carts by shopping carts. This attitude turns out to subvert icons of capitalism, by moving such a remarkable, and at the same time it causes a strangeness when seeing them full of empty packaging, boxes and other traces of our thirst for consuming. As these individuals exchange their own carts for shopping carts, it creates an ambiguous phenomenon, where those who are socially excluded by the lack of purchasing power end up seizing and subverting one of the biggest symbols of consumerism.
Minha proposta de investigação é a documentação de um fenômeno que tem se tornado frequente entre a população de rua em várias cidades: a troca das carroças manufaturadas por carrinhos de compra. Essa atitude subverte esse ícone do capitalismo, deslocando um objeto tão marcante e, ao mesmo tempo, provocando um estranhamento quando os vemos cheios de embalagens vazias, caixas e outros vestígios da nossa sede consumista. Na medida em que esses indivíduos substituem suas carroças por carrinhos, cria-se um fenômeno ambíguo, onde aqueles que são excluídos socialmente pela ausência do poder aquisitivo, acabam se apoderando e subvertendo um dos maiores símbolos do consumismo.

The photographs are documentation of urban spaces held in a situation of psychological (and psychiatric) absence of places unstable and sublimated of time or specific spaces. They aree unknown or even unreal landscapes, where the flows and beats of its inhabitants can’t be seen, just the dizziness of whom may be lost in it and vulnerable to its toxic atmosphere.
As fotografias desse ensaio são resultado da documentação de espaços urbanos realizada em situação de ausência psicológica (e psiquiátrica) de lugares instáveis e sublimados de tempo ou espaços específicos. São paisagens desconhecidas ou mesmo irreais, onde não se enxergam fluxos e pulsações de seus habitantes, apenas a vertigem de quem possa nela estar perdido e vulnerável à sua atmosfera tóxica.

O caráter cênico desses espaços é enfatizado por um ponto de vista quase sempre frontal, que valoriza formas e cores em composições geométricas, onde a figura humana se insere sutilmente.

The images depict a game of architectural reorganization of imaginary facades built from photographs taken in a single building. The modules have different ranges, and depict external and internal environments, confusing streetscape with intimate spaces.
As imagens retratam um jogo de reorganização arquitetônica de fachadas imaginárias, construídas a partir de fotografias feitas em um único edifício. Os módulos possuem diferentes escalas, retratam ambientes externos e internos, confundindo a paisagem urbana com espaços íntimos.
