In a Nutshell
Literally born on a napkin, Nutcase was founded by former Nike Creative Director, Micheal Morrow. Morrow was headed to the Oregon State University Beavers versus University of Oregon Ducks Football game and wanted to creatively display his Beaver Spirit. So he found an old black helmet, decked it in orange-and-white tape, and adorned the crown with a flock of rubber duckies. This is when he realized sports helmets are dull and like footwear, they should be a vibrant expression of your personality. Thus the Nutcase journey began!

What is MIPS? MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System. It is described as a “slip-plane” technology. This works inside the helmet and is designed to reduce rotational forces that can result from certain impacts.
Ground-breaking, VIO brings light and panoramic visibility to the urban jungle. 200 Lumen front LED and 65 lumen wrap around rear lights provide 360 visiblity. Featuring our exclusive and patended Exo-skeleton technology, the lightweight Vio boasts a two piece in-mold construction with Duo Density EPS foam.
