College: Arizona Western College Drafted: 2004, 25th round (Boston Red Sox) Experience: seventh season (first with Jackals) Notes: Was in spring training with the Jackals in 2010 but had his contract sold to the Atlanta Braves on May 20 just prior to the start of the Can-Am League season... Re-signed with the Jackals on April 11, 2011... Was drafted as an outfielder, but entering 2011 has played just seven games in the outfield (all in his first professional season in 2005 for the Gulf Coast League Red Sox)... Name is Michael L. Jones. 2010 w/ Myrtle Beach Pelicans: Spent the entire season with Myrtle Beach after the Atlanta Braves purchased his contract from the Jackals on May 20... In his second consecutive season in the Advanced-A Carolina League, put up almost identical offensive numbers to his 2009 outputs... Committed just seven errors in 86 games at first base (a .991 fielding percentage)... w/ Boston Red Sox Organization (2005-2009): In 2009, finished ninth in the Carolina League with a .283 batting average while playing for the Advanced-A Salem Red Sox...
