Opportunities for Involvement and Growth Students at NHCC are given several opportunities to be involved in the process of planning and governing. Student leadership opportunities include IGNITE Team Leaders, Associated Student Body’s Executive Council (ASB) or Student Council (class representatives).
Student Council & ASB Representatives The Associated Student Body of New Hope Christian College is represented in college government by elected executive officers from the student body and by other student representatives.
Student Council Under the guidance of the Student Life Director or an appointed advisor, opportunity is given to students for leadership through the Student Council. The purpose of the Council is to provide guidance for student activities and to express student interests and concerns to the administration of the College. The Student Life Office, IGNITE Team Leaders/ Directors, and the Student Council program spiritual and social activities according to the College calendar. Throughout the school year the Student Council organizes various Associated Student Body (ASB) sponsored social activities.
ASB Representatives Elected ASB officers represent students in liaison roles with the NHCC President’s Cabinet, on the Accreditation Steering committee, and by representation on several standing committees. These eight ASB offices include:
