The Boston-based group announced that a coastto-coast leg has been added to its 2013-14 world tour, featuring five new songs. The show features a fresh stage set and production and gives the band a chance to play one of its most diverse set lists to date. The Pixies influence on alternative rock has inspired bands such as Nirvana, David Bowie, Radiohead, The Strokes, and U2. Nevada Ballet Theatre has named singer, spokeswoman, humanitarian, and Broadway star Florence Henderson as its 2014 Woman of the Year for the 30th anniversary of the Black & White Ball— one of the organization’s most highly attended social events.
