Driving without insurance?

My mom has insurance in her name for her car. I passed my road test yesterday and got my license. Can i legally drive the car with her INSIDE of the car? I'm not listed on her insurance? If i get pulled over do i legally have insurance? What will happen? For maternity insurance, is 50% coinsurance with low deductible and $3,000 maximum out of pocket expense good? We have three e-mails saved confirming that there is not a waiting period, other than the 15 days. Here is an example of premiums. Plan B is $275.77 for health and maternity per month. It has a $3,500 deductible. Maximum out of pocket expense is $3,000. The other is Plan C. The monthly premium is $253.26 with a deductible of $2,500. Max out of pocket is also $3,000. recently took a new job in Canada as a social worker and tried to add business coverage on my vehicle. I was told by my insurance company that this would be commercial because there is some risk I would have kids in the car. I called another company who told me it is just business. The initial company is cancelling my policy as they do not offer commercial insurance which they claim I require. They are not cancelling it for any negative reasons but will this cancellation show up and effect my rates even though it is not my fault. I tried to add the correct insurance but they did not have it so they are cancelling me.
