The 1st primary school, our school, founded on 1885, after the liberation of the Ottomans. At first the building was made by wood. On 1919, the new building was made by stones in front of the village square. On 1934, people of the village decided to build a larger school in a new position, more suitable for the students. So, they made
a modern building that
exists till today.
On 1934,when the new building was ready, the parents of the students planted 150 pine-trees, one for each student. In nowadays, a lot of those pinetrees have been destroyed. In spite of the damage, in the school yard, there is a small grove of pine-trees in which many kinds of birds live. For example there are storks, herons, etc.
There are 103 pupils who are study in our school. They are separated, in accordance with their age, into six classes. There are 11 teachers who are teach in our school, including those two who teach at the afternoon school.
In our school’s curriculum there are some extra activities, like projects about environment, culture, European dimension, etc.
