A truly unique venue Hidden within a nature reserve and featuring a unique floating design, Brockholes offers a truly memorable setting for your wedding. Along the banks of the river, in our ancient woodland or with the sun setting across the lake, our 250 hectare nature reserve will provide a stunning stage for your photographs. Set in the heart of a Lancashire Wildlife Trust wetland nature reserve, our eco-friendly wedding venue floats on the lake amongst the reeds. What’s more, by choosing us for your special day you are supporting vital conservation work to help protect local wildlife. natural, unique and tailored to you Enjoy canapes and drinks with your guests overlooking the lake or a hog roast around the apple trees on the floating village. Our intimate ceremony room allows you to feel close to nature, where up to 100 guests will be able to share your special moment. When the celebrations begin we have two rooms which are suitable for wedding receptions. The Reeding Room is suitable for wedding breakfasts for up to 92 guests or we can accommodate up to 120 in the restaurant after 5pm. With a modest, contemporary design, the rooms at Brockholes blend in with the landscape and allow you to express your own style, to create a wedding theme that suits you. We guarantee to have just one wedding celebration on at any time here at Brockholes so you can be assured of a private event that you can really make your own.
The full package Explore our nature reserve with your guests; you can choose to have canapes and drinks on the hilltop overlooking the lake or a hog roast around the apple trees on the floating village. You will have a choice of delicious home-made meals using locally sourced ingredients that are sustainably produced. We have a range of options from a traditional three-course wedding breakfast, to a barbeque or a vintage afternoon tea. Menus can also be tailored to meet your individual style and taste, we are happy to work with you to create your perfect day.
It’s party time! As the sun sets over the lake, Brockholes will transform into the ideal evening party venue. Whether you prefer a DJ, a live band or a ceilidh, we have plenty space for up to 120 evening guests. Enjoy a hog roast, a delicious Brockholes barbeque or one of our traditional Lancashire buffets.
