Belwest News Volunteers assist in various roles around the club. Without volunteers the players wouldn’t get on the field. So please consider what you might be able to do for the club next season.

Positions Vacant Our fantastic canteen co-ordinators Kathy and Suzy are finishing up this year, so we need some new co-ordinators. Could this be you? Canteen co-ordinators help with setting up and packing up the canteen, organising the canteen volunteers each week and purchasing stock. The role is an ideal one to share amongst a few people, be it split between morning and afternoon shifts, or even on a roster such as a week on and a week off. The more people the better. If you are keen to find out more, please talk to Kathy, Suzy or one of the Committee. The canteen is a very valued part of Belwest. Not only does it provide a great service for everyone on game days, but it also provides vital funding for the Club. If we don’t find new co-ordinators the Canteen may not be able to operate in 2016. U12 – U18 Teams – A word from the Registrar This season we had 9 teams in the U12-U18 divisions. We had a total of 5 teams finish in the top 2 of their division and the remaining 4 were very competitive. Thank you to all the coaches and managers who did an amazing job of navigating a total of 137 teenagers through the entire 2015 season!! You all deserve a medal. This year was my first as registrar and a big thank you goes to Lina for teaching me the ropes and to Toni for putting up with my never ending questions. I look forward to coming back in 2016 and hopefully registering even more teams! I wish all the Belwest families a very safe off-season and look forward to seeing everyone in season 2016.

Thanks to all our Coaches in 2015 Hi, Young Soccer Players, Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Parents and Guardians, Volunteers and Committee Members The season has again come to an end and it was for me great to see such fantastic participation by all concerned, to let our children have such a great time playing their favoured sport. I am always thrilled when I see such interest, input etc. on my Saturdays at the Latham Playing Fields. Again we have a selection of Players nominated for trials for the development squads of Belconnen United FC, in the Premier League - all together, girls and boys, a total of 37 players! We wish them all the best in their endeavour to follow their dreams in the next phase of their lives. The number of participating children in this sport and in our club speaks for itself and is the product of the interest shown by all the above named to make it such a great family club. With this on my mind I thank you all and wish you at this point my compliments of the season and a happy prosperous new year 2016. See you at Latham.
