` Christmastide Carols

I once had a coworker tell me how much he hated Christmas music. At first I thought he was being facetious, and couldn’t believe it when he was serious. For me, the old carols collected by generations of worldwide tradition have always evoked everything wonderful about Christmas. They carry a special spirit and feeling that enhances and enriches the whole Christmas experience. My purpose in preparing this book of carols has been to preserve this aging music for future generations of Christmastime observers in a quality engraving. In selecting the music I have used the original, or in my own opinion, best version of each piece. Merry Christmas! – the Editor, 2011
