This past May, NCSY and twelve students from Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls partnered with NECHAMA, a Jewish organization dedicated to disaster relief, to participate in a disaster relief mission. The girls spent five days in Minnesota providing aid and support to victims of the Red River flood. New Jersey NCSY Assistant Regional Director, Rabbi Ethan Katz, NCSY Fair Lawn advisor Miriam Apter, and Ma’ayanot faculty members Rabbi Zev Prince and Eileen Schwartz joined the girls on this life-changing and eye-opening experience.

As part of their mission, the girls supported the fight against breast cancer by participating in the Susan G. Komen Cure 5K Walk in Bloomington, Minnesota. There, the girls had the opportunity to represent Jewish women while walking among hundreds of other women.
