the first one to initiate the assignment and invite the roommate. The invited roommate(s) have until the end of the option to confirm. (2/22/13) The invited roommate will receive an email to accept or reject the invitation. The invited student must complete the process of updating the Housing Application and accepting the Agreement before the assignment is complete. If you fall into the Administrative Move category, and you have several friends who are also in the same situation, you might consider signing up as a group. This will allow you to move as a group (see Administrative Move Group Process below).
ADMINISTRATIVE MOVE GROUP PROCESS To sign up as a group, the following requirements must be met: Minimum group size is four students. Groups of 6, 8, or 10 students are also welcome. All students in the group must have the status of Administrative Move. These students will receive an email prior to January 7 explaining the Administrative Move process. The group registration is online only. The group will choose a leader to enter the group members’ information along with roommate pairings into the database. Please note: emails to Housing with group members’ names/information will not be accepted/entered; this is an online process only. Group registration opens February 1, 2013 at 8 a.m. and closes February 18 at 5 p.m. Only complete groups’ will be assigned. Assignments will be made based on available building space. Priority is given to group cohesiveness, not to a specific building. The link to the group request form will be on our website (www.ncsu.edu/housing) and in our portal page. The site will be available February 1, 2013 beginning at 8 a.m.
