ANNUAL Report

Be Epic. Be An NC REALTOR®.

LETTER FROM THE CEO DEAR NC REALTORS® MEMBERS, Welcome to 2018!

of. Among our outstanding tactical achievements this year include a new website, new regional meetings (MIXers), new member kit, new email design, and so much more—all to support our overarching mission.

While we are well on our way to breaking in the new year, let’s take a few minutes to reflect on 2017 in this—the second edition of the NC REALTORS® Annual Report, which is designed to reflect and inspire our nearly 43,000 members, positioning our members, the industry, and the association for success for years to come.

NC REALTORS® is front and center proving our commitment every single day of the year to:

What a year we’ve had! It was a record-breaking year in many ways, and we couldn’t have accomplished any of the game-changing things we’ve done without doing it together. From astonishing NC REALTORS® PAC fundraising efforts that exceeded our goals, to astounding membership growth, to substantial improvement in member engagement, to exciting new member tools and programs, we have so much to be proud

It is important to thank each member for your membership and contribution to making NC REALTORS® a “first-in-class” organization devoted to innovation, influence, integrity and inclusivity. Without the many tireless hours of volunteerism given to your association, NC REALTORS® could not have achieved any of the many successes of the year outlined in this Annual Report. Treasure Faircloth, 2017 President; Amy Hedgecock, President-elect; Kelly Marks, Treasurer; and Kim Dawson, Immediate Past-President, deserve your thanks and your congratulations. They were the true leaders in moving NC REALTORS® forward in 2017.

• • •

Provide a dynamic, vibrant and successful future for our members; Build better communities; and Enhance the quality of life in North Carolina.

I hope to see each of you at a future NC REALTORS® event, and please know we welcome your feedback about your benefits and services or anything related to the association any time. Thank you for all that you do to make our association—and the industry—a positive and influential force.

ANDREA BUSHNELL CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

ASSOCIATION UPDATES MEMBERSHIP

42,000 Strong NC REALTORS® experienced record-setting growth with an estimated 14 percent increase in total members in 2017. This remarkable growth is testament to the value, benefits, and services NC REALTORS® offers to its members, as well as the healthy state of the industry we serve. The old adage, “There’s power in numbers,” has never been truer. With 42,000 members and counting, we are a positive force for our members, real estate, and consumers.

An ambitious undertaking that started in 2015 is about to take shape. The property officially became owned by NC REALTORS® in September of 2016 and will be the new NC REALTORS®’ offices of the Government Affairs Department with event space on the bottom floor and rental office space on the top floor. The design is nearly complete, and the construction should commence in the spring of 2018 with occupancy expected in the spring of 2019. Marketing communications developed an impressive brand identity package, and the website is scheduled for completion in February 2018. In the fall of 2017, we commissioned interior renderings from an architectural renderer, which are depicted here. We’ve also started collecting contact information from interested prospects for potential future rental interest. For more about the Heck-Andrews House, please visit heck-andrews.com.
