RENT A POOL OR PAVILION Rent a pool for your next party! Select pools are available to rent Thursday through Sunday for private parties, family gatherings, reunions, etc. Times vary depending on the pools’ operating hours. Lifeguards are provided for all rentals. Fee includes up to the maximum number of guests listed and a two hour rental. A 72-hour notice is required to book an outdoor pool. Allen Bolden Pool is an L-shaped Olympic sized pool that meets the needs of virtually every swim enthusiast. The pool features a diving board and zero depth entry. The depth of pool ranges from zero to thirteen feet deep. Additional amenities include concessions, six shade structures and a large grass campus.
Bad Königshofen Family Aquatic Center offers a great value for the entire family. The pool features include an interactive spray pad and shallow water play pool, lap pool, diving area and two water slides. ** The depth of pools ranges from one and half feet to twelve feet deep. The Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center offers aquatic recreation for all members of the family. The facility includes interactive recreation elements such as a shallow water play structure, vortex pools, current channel, water slide* and tot and leisure areas. Woodland West Pool is a popular neighborhood pool that features shaded areas and grass. The back wall of the pool is elevated and is great place to jump off and make big splashes. Woodland West Pool also features a large shallow end that is great for young children. The depth of pool ranges from two feet to eleven feet deep. Services at the pool include swimming lessons and facility rentals. Limited drink and snack concession are available.

Splash pads are fun kid-friendly fountains and spray areas that are a great way to beat the summer heat! Arlington has three FREE splash pad locations throughout Arlington that open 10 AM to 8 PM every day Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Weekend and only on weekends through September. THE BEACON'S SPLASH PAD
The new Beacon Recreation Center has a beautiful splash pad with covered shelters available for rent. Splash pad use is available for members or enjoy access with a $8 day pass.
Shelters are $25/hour to rent and can hold up to 10 people. The splash pad is available for rent with or without the water on for $100/hour and can hold up to 100 people.
The Beacon's Splash Pad is open March 1* through October 31 pending weather. Hours are Monday-Friday 10 AM to 8 PM, Saturday 10 AM - 6 PM and Sunday 12-6 PM.

NEW FACILITY SPOTLIGHTS
EAST INDOOR POOL Whether you're looking to take a fitness class, host a pool party, browse the bookshelves or borrow a laptop to do some work online, the newly opened East Library and Recreation Center offers a variety of programs, amenities and resources for residents of all ages. The combined recreation center and library, located at 1817 New York Ave. at Bob Cooke Park in East Arlington, is the first of its kind in The American Dream City. Arlington voters approved $26 million for the new 47,249-squarefoot facility to replace the Hugh Smith Recreation Center and the East Branch Library in the 2014 Bond Election. The center is home to the City's 113,000-gallon indoor aquatic facility. East Indoor Pool is open year-round and serves a variety of needs from open and lap swim, swim lessons, water aerobics, leisure play and private rentals.
Pool admission is included with Arlington Parks' Blue, Green, or Gold Memberships. An $8 day pass is available to the facility. Memberships are not required to purchase Aquatic Punches for Water Fitness Classes. Water Fitness Classes available range from Aqua Stand Up for Kids to Adult, Aqua Yoga, Aqua Barre, Lunch Crunch, Deep Aqua Fitness and more! The pool amenities include an Aqua Zip'N rope swing, a Wiggle Bridge, an Aqua Climb Wall, volleyball and basketball The pool features seamless entry from the pool deck and an ADA compliant mobility lift. Patrons can access locker rooms and restrooms poolside. Private and public pool rentals with party room options are available!
The pool is 25 yards in length, and it has four lap lanes. Depth of pool ranges from 3.5 ft to 10 ft deep. The water temperatures averages 87-88 degrees year-round. Programming was originally set to start with the natatorium opening in September 2020, but was delayed due to COVID-19 budgetary impacts for the Parks & Recreation Department. Arlington Aquatics programming will take place in the warm up pool located within the natatorium. It is the 25-yard pool that is 4 ft in depth and consists of four lap lanes. No City programming will take place in the 50-meter competition pool. Visitors should note the pool temperature is set to 82 degrees, noticeably different than the East Indoor Pool.
ARLINGTON ISD NATATORIUM
Arlington Aquatics is excited to start offering aquatics programming at Arlington Independent School District’s natatorium beginning March 1. Lap swim and water walking will be available to Arlington Parks members or as an $8 day pass. Visitors wanting to purchase a day pass can do so with a card, no cash or checks will be accepted at the facility. Open swim will not be available at this location.
Arlington Aquatics’ members will enter through a separate entrance from Arlington ISD located off to the side. This entrance will open onto the pool deck where there will be a lifeguard to assist with check-in. Members will also have access to locker rooms separate from Arlington ISD with showers and bathrooms amenities available for use. In addition to lap swimming and water walking, residents will also be able to register for American Red Cross swimming lessons for children ages 4 to 12 years old as well as to adult beginners, private lessons, and water fitness classes. 2021 Day Camp & Aquatics Guide

PRIVATE LESSONS Students in private lessons learn to swim as fast as possible because of undivided attention from the instructor and individualized lesson plans. Private swim lessons are scheduled throughout the summer and are available at different times during each session. Fees are four classes, 25 minutes each, for $100 per single student. For more information or to register for outdoor swim lessons, call 817-459-5483.
HELPFUL HINTS
Classes may reach maximum capacity quickly. Please remember to register early so you will not be disappointed. If your class is full, please allow us to put you on the waiting list. We will contact you as soon as possible if a spot becomes available. Students must meet the age requirements and prerequisite prior to the first day of the class that they are registered for. Parents, please allow yourself extra time on the first day of class for completing class release forms and to meet your child’s instructor. To ensure quality instruction and safety every effort is made to adhere to strict student-to-teacher ratios. Classes have a maximum enrollment of 4-8 students depending on the level. Only those registered for classes will be allowed in the water while classes are in session. The tot pool at Bad Königshofen pool is not available for use during class hours. Swim lessons for individuals with disabilities or special needs are available following the inclusion model. Private lessons are also available for individuals wanting one on one instruction.
TRANSFER AND WITHDRAW
Participants must be withdrawn from the class three days prior to the class start date to receive a refund.

CANCELED CLASSES
In the event that a class is canceled, every effort will be made to notify you by telephone. On the first day of class verify that the pool staff has the correct phone number. If a class is canceled for any reason on the behalf of the City of Arlington, we will try to make up time by adding minutes to the remaining classes. However if this is not possible, the following Friday will serve as our designated make up day. Aquatics classes must have at least two participants. The Aquatics team will move registrants of classes that do not make to another class, issue a refund, or find other accommodations. SWIM CLASSES The City of Arlington Outdoor Learn to Swim program offers a variety of classes and schedule times to meet your needs during the busy summertime! Each course is $60 per student and consists of 8 classes, 25 minutes for preschool students, and 40 minutes for youth students. The American Red Cross Learn to Swim program includes parent/tot, preschool, and school age swimming lessons. We also offer private lessons for all ages. PRESCHOOL SWIM CLASSES

One parent/adult will assist the child in developing water adjustment, games and underwater exploration as led by an instructor. Child must wear a swim diaper.

Goals: Shallow angle dive, swim Front Crawl 50 yards, Elementary Backstroke 50 yards, Backstroke and Breaststroke 25 yards.
LEVEL 6 — PERSONAL WATER SAFETY Maximum Enrolled: 8
Prerequisite: Goals of Stroke Refinement, level 5. Goals: Swim 500 yards continuously. Survival float for 5 minutes, roll to back and float for 5 minutes. Retrieve an object from bottom of pool (depth 7-10 feet), return to surface, and swim to start point.
LEVEL 6 — FITNESS SWIMMING Maximum Enrolled: 8
Prerequisite: Goals of Stroke Refinement, level 5. Goals: Swim 500 yards continuously. Perform Copper 12-minute swim test and compare results with the pre-assessment results.
STROKE CLINIC
Maximum Enrolled: 6
This program prepares swimmers for competitive swim team environments. A free skills assessment (times available by appointment on Fridays) must be completed before registering.
Prerequisite: Goals of Stroke Development, level 3.
Stroke Clinic I - Participants will develop technique for the competitive swim strokes.
Goals Level 4A: Swimming 25 yards of Front Crawl, 25 yards of Elementary Backstroke, and 25 yards of Breaststroke with precision.
Prerequisite: Completion/Pass of Level 4A &B or 25 yard freestyle, 25 yard backstroke, 25 yard breaststroke, 25 yard butterfly.
LEVEL 4 — STROKE IMPROVEMENT
Goals Level 4B: Swimming 25 yards of Backstroke, 25 yards of Sidestroke, and 15 yards of Butterfly with precision.
LEVEL 5 — STROKE REFINEMENT Maximum Enrolled: 6
Stroke Clinic II - Participants will develop technique for competitive swim strokes plus endurance. Prerequisite: Completion/Pass of Stroke Clinic I or 50 yard freestyle, 50 yard backstroke, 50 yard breaststroke, 50 yard butterfly.
Prerequisite: Goals of Stroke Improvement, level 4. Submerge and swim 3 to 5 body lengths underwater.
TEEN & ADULT SWIM CLASSES TEENS: 13-18 | ADULTS: 18+
INTRO TO WATER SKILLS FOR TEENS
No prerequisite. This class is designed for teens, who have little or no knowledge of swimming or want to improve their swimming strokes.
STROKE DEVELOPMENT FOR TEENS
Participants entering this course must have a Level 4 certificate or must be able to demonstrate all the completion requirements from Level 3.
BEGINNING SWIMMING FOR ADULTS
Beginner level class introduces Crawl Stroke, gliding, kicks, deep water swimming and survival floating.
INTERMEDIATE SWIMMING FOR ADULTS
